An MRI on Roethlisberger's knee revealed only an MCL sprain, with no damage to his ACL, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports. His recovery is expected to take four weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Given the hit that Roethlisberger took, this was the best the Steelers could have hoped for. The team reportedly plans to have him back for a Nov. 1 (Week 8) game against Cincinnati, but the four-week timeline might give him a shot to be ready for Week 7 in Kansas City. Mike Vick struggled with the Jets last season and couldn't get anything going in Sunday's game, but the talent around him is unquestionably top-notch.
