Nicks has been cut by the Saints, The Times-Picayune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nicks joined New Orleans only a couple weeks ago, but apparently has failed to make a strong impression since then. Additionally, given some of the Saints' young receivers, namely Michael Thomas, Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman, the team would probably prefer to use as many snaps as possible to aid their development, leaving the 28-year-old Nicks on the outside looking in. With his best days clearly behind him, Nicks will hope to land elsewhere during the preseason slate.

Nicks will sign with the Saints, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Known for his days with the Giants, Nicks has since seen stints with the Colts and Titans before re-joining the Giants again last November. Now with the Saints, Nicks figures to jockey for a roster spot at wide receiver firmly behind the likes of Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, Brandon Coleman and rookie Michael Thomas. Back in 2014 when playing for Indianapolis, the last season in which he actually saw playing time, Nicks caught 38 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns.

Nicks had one catch for four yards on three targets in Sunday's 49-17 loss to the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
According to Pro Football Focus, Nicks was one of four New York wideouts to play between 27 and 36 snaps (out of 62). Regardless, any hint of appeal will be gone next week, as Odell Beckham (suspension) is expected to return for a favorable matchup with the Eagles.

Nicks is listed as a starter for Sunday night's game against the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
With Odell Beckham serving a one-game suspension, Nicks figures to play the majority of offensive snaps. The Giants obviously have a ton of production to replace, but with neither Nicks nor Rueben Randle playing well this season, many of Beckham's usual targets will likely go to the running backs and tight ends.

Nicks could see more targets Sunday with Odell Beckham suspended and Dwayne Harris nursing a shoulder injury.
EDGE Analysis
Nicks would only be playable in the deepest of leagues, as he's not assured of anything, and Harris could play yet. But if Harris were out, Nicks could serve as the team's No. 2 receiver.

Nicks caught one pass off of one target for seven yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Nicks has now caught just two passes for 11 yards on three targets in the two games since returning to New York. Nicks' appeal in coming back to the Giants was his rapport with Eli Manning, something that hasn't been on full display yet. Given the Giants' dependency on the pass, it is entirely possible that Nicks emerges with a big game in the coming weeks, but with nearly half of Manning's passes over the past three games directed at either Odell Beckham or Will Tye, it shouldn't be counted on.

Nicks may be more involved in the offense Sunday against the Jets, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
EDGE Analysis
Though clearly not the player he once was, Nicks may still have something to offer a Giants offense that has somehow become even more reliant on Odell Beckham. Nicks had just two targets on very limited snaps in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, but he did replace Rueben Randle on one drive. Given how little impact Randle has had this season, it wouldn't be shocking to see Nicks take away even more snaps in Week 13. Of course, there's still not much upside with any of the Big Blue receivers besides Beckham.

Nicks is listed as active Sunday in Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Signed earlier this week to bolster the Giants' depth at wide receiver, Nicks will make his season debut, as he returns to his initial NFL organization. However, he's unlikely to make an immediate impact behind the likes of Odell Beckham, Rueben Randle, and Dwayne Harris.

Nicks won't necessarily be active for Sunday's game at Washington, NJ.com's Jordan Raanan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though he didn't say that Nicks will be inactive, head coach Tom Coughlin did say that special teams will factor into the decision. Even if he ends up playing, Nicks will likely just be the fourth or fifth wide receiver.

Nicks is signing with the Giants on Tuesday, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Victor Cruz (calf) ruled out for the season, the Giants will bring back their first-round selection from the 2009 NFL Draft. Nicks was a Pro Bowl-caliber wideout in 2010 and 2011, but he always had trouble staying healthy, which contributed to a far quicker decline than anyone could have expected. Although he's still just 27 years old, Nicks doesn't figure to be any higher than fourth or fifth on the depth chart, as No. 3 wideout Dwayne Harris has come on strong the past few weeks.
