Bowe (knee) is participating in Thursday's practice, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Bowe tweaked his knee during an OTA session last week, and while the issue was not considered serious, he missed a few days of practice. Considering Bowe back on the field Thursday, it looks as though he's moved past the injury.

Bowe tweaked his knee during Tuesday's two-hour OTA practice and didn't return to the session, Mary Kat Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Coach Mike Pettine suggested afterward that Bowe's issue isn't anything serious, but the Browns could still keep the receiver out of Thursday's practice just as a safeguard. With Josh Gordon suspended for the entire 2015 season, Bowe, who inked a two-year deal in Mayk, is tentatively slated to serve as the Browns' top receiver.

The Browns have signed Bowe, NFL.com reports.

The Browns were understandably looking to upgrade their wideout situation, with Josh Gordon suspended again. Bowe is now in line to head a receiving corps in Cleveland that also includes fellow newcomer Brian Hartline and slot man Andrew Hawkins. While the team's QB situation has yet to be solidified, the change of scenery figures to do the 30-year-old Bowe some good, as he's coming off a 2014 season in which he failed to score a touchdown, though he did record 60 catches for 754 yards in 15 games for the Chiefs.

The Browns are considered the top contender to sign Bowe, according to espncleveland.com.

In the wake of Josh Gordon's latest suspension, the Browns are looking to further bolster their depth at wideout after having previously added Brian Hartline this offseason. The 30-year-old Bowe is coming off a 2014 season in which he caught 60 passes for 754 yards in 15 games for the Chiefs, but failed to score a touchdown.

As expected, the Chiefs will release Bowe on Thursday, the Kansas City Star reports.

Per the report, the move frees up $5 million in salary cap space for the Chiefs this season, with the team already having replaced Bowe with free agent addition, Jeremy Maclin. The 30-year-old Bowe thus hits the open market on the heels of a 2014 season in which he caught 60 passes for 754 yards, but failed to score a touchdown.

Bowe will be released by the Chiefs, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

This has essentially been a sure thing for months, as the Chiefs were never going to find another team to take on Bowe's contract. It's now just a matter of time, and the move will likely come within the next few days, given that the Chiefs have reached an agreement to sign Jeremy Maclin, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. It'll be interesting to see how the market for Bowe shapes up, as he's still only 30 years old but hasn't done much the past few seasons. While the Kansas City offense didn't help matters, Bowe's own declining play seems to be the bigger issue. For prospective owners, a move away from Kansas City can only be seen as a good thing, as it least creates the possibility of some kind of upside.

Bowe is a candidate to be released by the Chiefs if the team is unable to deal the wideout, NFL Network's NFL Ian Rapoport reports.

With Bowe slated to earn almost $11 million this coming season, per NFL.com, dealing the wideout would be a challenging endeavor for the Chiefs. If Bowe ends up being released, with the team already having bid adieu to fellow pass-catchers Donnie Avery and A.J. Jenkins, the Chiefs would clearly need to aggressively target the wideout position in both free agency and the NFL draft.
