Bruton entered the NFL's concussion protocol on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Bruton will need to pass a series of tests before being allowed back on the field. Broncos S David Bruton made a "big jump" in spring practices. "Every year that I've been here he's improved slightly every year," assistant DBs coach Sam Garnes said. "And this year he made a big jump." A special teams standout, Bruton has never been asked to play much defense in his four seasons with the Broncos. He could push SS Mike Adams for the starting job this summer, but it's unlikely that Bruton will unseat him.

Broncos DC Jack Del Rio has give S David Bruton a long look during the team's offseason program. Bruton primarily played special teams in his first four seasons, and saw just 34 snaps on defense last season. At 6'2" and 211lbs, Bruton is bigger than Mike Adams, the incumbent starter at strong safety. Quentin Jammer is also posing a legitimate threat to start this year.
