Heyward-Bey totaled 29 yards and a touchdown on his sole catch in Friday's 30-17 preseason loss to the Lions.

EDGE Analysis

The former first-rounder capped off a six-play, 75-yard second-quarter scoring drive with a 29-yard touchdown from Landry Jones for his only catch of the night. Heyward-Bey was serviceable in his second Steelers campaign last season, totaling 314 yards and a pair of scores on 21 catches. He's expected to play an important complementary downfield role again in 2016 as the team copes with the season-long absence of Martavis Bryant (suspension).

Heyward-Bey has agreed to a multi-year deal with the Steelers, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.

EDGE Analysis

Heyward-Bey re-signs with the Steelers after catching 21 passes (on 39 targets) for 314 yards and two touchdowns last season. The speedster's 15 yards per catch also nearly set a career-high, giving Pittsburgh a nice vertical threat to round out their explosive receiving corp.

After failing to record a catch last week against Cincinnati, Heyward-Bey had two receptions for 64 yards against Denver on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Heyward-Bey, who is an unrestricted free agent, finished the regular season catching 21 of 39 targets for 314 yards and two touchdowns. Like Antonio Brown, DHB provides Pittsburgh with another veteran presence at receiver, which can come in handy when playing alongside Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton. But that's where the comparisons end, with Brown having more catches, receiving yards and touchdowns in his last two seasons than Heyward-Bey has in his seven-year career. Still, he could be brought back next season to give the Steelers depth.

Heyward-Bey caught 2-of-5 targets for 74 yards in Pittsburgh's win over Cleveland on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

With Martavis Bryant (neck) out of commission by halftime, Heyward-Bey had a larger-than-usual role in the offense, including a game-long and season-long 66-yard reception. Even if Bryant is unable to play in the Steelers' Wild Card game next week, DHB is still the fourth option in the passing game behind Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton and Heath Miller.

Heyward-Bey failed to catch either of the two passes thrown his way in the Steelers' 16-10 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

DHB has now gone three straight games without a reception and just three targets. Even with Ben Roethlisberger (knee) back under center, Heyward-Bey is not worth a spot on fantasy rosters.

Heyward-Bey failed to catch his only target in Pittsburgh's 25-13 win over Arizona on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

We expected DHB's production to take a hit with the return of Martavis Bryant. Now, with uncertainty at the Steelers' quarterback position, he becomes an even riskier fantasy play.

Heyward-Bey had two catches for 24 yards in the Steelers' 24-20 win over the Chargers on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

DHB tied Antonio Brown with a team-high six targets, but didn't have a reception until Pittsburgh's final drive, which culminated with Le'Veon Bell's game winning 1-yard touchdown run as time expired. His fantasy value likely takes a hit when Martavis Bryant returns to action.

Heyward-Bey caught four passes for 31 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Thursday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Ravens.

EDGE Analysis

Heyward-Bey was more productive than Markus Wheaton in the absence of Martavis Bryant, who is set to return from a four-game suspension for Week 5 against the Chargers. Bryant was expected to open the season as the No. 3 wide receiver, but Wheaton has probably handed his more talented teammate the No. 2 job. With Wheaton showing so poorly this season, Heyward-Bey may still be in the mix for the No. 3 role. Of course, the role will likely come with a modest volume of targets even after Ben Roethlisberger (knee) returns, as the Steelers need to feed Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Bryant.

Heyward-Bey caught all three passes thrown to him for 19 yards in Pittsburgh's 12-6 win over St. Louis Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Heyward-Bey has done an adequate job filling the hole created by the absence of Martavis Bryant (suspension). Through three games, DHB has caught 11-of-15 targets for 155 yards and a touchdown, and will have one more week before Bryant returns to action.

Heyward-Bey caught 4-of-5 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

The whole Steelers offense was clicking throughout this game, but it was nice to see Heyward-Bey garner the second-most wide receiver targets behind only Antonio Brown en route to an effective game. Martavis Bryant still has two games left on his four-game suspension, and it seems like Heyward-Bey will continue to act as the team's No. 2 receiver at least until Bryant gets back.
