McCoy has agreed to a three-year deal to remain with Washington, the Washington Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

With the franchise having parted ways with Robert Griffin, the team has quickly moved to ensure stability at the top of the QB depth chart, by franchising starter Kirk Cousins and securing the services of McCoy to remain his backup.

McCoy (foot) is active Sunday against the Eagles.

EDGE Analysis

McCoy will back up Kirk Cousins yet again, and with the way the latter has played, it's not out of the question that the former could see the field at some point this season.

McCoy is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

EDGE Analysis

All Robert Griffin-related storylines will have to wait, as McCoy logged full practices throughout the week, leaving little question as to his availability for Sunday's game against the Eagles. With the way Kirk Cousins is playing, it won't be surprising if McCoy sees the field before mid-season.

McCoy (foot) practiced in full Wednesday, The Washington Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

After watching Monday's practice from the sideline due to a cut on his left foot, McCoy was able to handle the entire slate of drills Wednesday. However, the foot was encased in a heavy bandage, which places some question over his ability to suit up Sunday against the Eagles. An absence would put Robert Griffin in the backup quarterback role.

McCoy missed Monday's practice due to a cut on his foot, the Washington Post reports.

EDGE Analysis

McCoy watched the proceedings from the sideline Monday, during which Robert Griffin directed the second team offense. Washington doesn't have to release the nature of McCoy's injury until Wednesday's injury report, but head coach Jay Gruden should have more information when it's released.

McCoy will be listed as the Redskins' No. 2 QB against Miami in Week 1, NFL.com's Jeff Darlington reports.

EDGE Analysis

This does not come as much of a surprise, as the Redskins seem intent on not playing Robert Griffin at this time. McCoy is probably not much of a step down from Kirk Cousins, so he could see some action in the coming weeks if he remains ahead of Griffin on the depth chart.

McCoy is re-signing with the Redskins, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

With McCoy, Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins all under contract for 2015, the Redskins have a trio of less-than-inspiring options. It's still quite possible the team addresses the position in the draft and/or seeks out a trade for Cousins or Griffin. Despite his above-average mobility, McCoy doesn't offer much upside in either real life or fantasy.

McCoy (neck) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.

Coach Jay Gruden had previously labeled McCoy as doubtful for Week 16, but apparently the setback with McCoy's neck injury is severe enough to keep him from the final two games of the 2014 campaign. Robert Griffin will return to the starting role Saturday against Philadelphia, with Kirk Cousins serving as his backup.

Coach Jay Gruden doesn't expect McCoy (neck) to suit up for Saturday's game against the Eagles, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.

With McCoy not expected to be in uniform this weekend, the team plans to start Robert Griffin on Saturday, with Kirk Cousins thus on track to serve as the team's backup QB in Week 16.

McCoy, who left Sunday's loss to the Giants after aggravating his neck injury, told Dianna Marie Russini of NBCWashington.com that he should be OK going forward.

McCoy tweaked his neck early in the game and was replaced by Robert Griffin III. "There is a disc aggravated in my neck, and when that gets fired up, I can't do anything," McCoy said. Even if McCoy is available next Saturday against the Eagles, it sounds like Washington's ever-changing quarterback carousel may take another turn. "We've got to look at film and see where we stand," head coach Jay Gruden said when asked about the quarterback situation moving forward. "Robert's definitely in the mix."
