Hayward recorded five tackles (three solo) and an interception in Sunday's win over the Texans.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward now leads the league in interceptions with six. Thrust into a starting role with Jason Verrett (knee) and Brandon Flowers (concussion) sidelined for multiple weeks, Hayward has excelled in the starting role, matching up against the opposition's best wide receivers most weeks. He'll have a tough task in front of him, however, as the Chargers take on Mike Evans and the Buccaneers next week.

Hayward recorded three tackles (two solo), one pass defended and an interception in Sunday's win over the Titans.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward's interception set up a critical field goal for the Chargers as the team was able to earn a two-possession lead near the end of the second quarter as a result. The 27-year-old has now picked off a pass in back-to-back games, adding on to his team-leading five interceptions and leads the secondary in tackles with 41. He's slowly developing into a solid IDP option and could be in for another solid game with a matchup against the Dolphins on tap for next week.

Hayward recorded three tackles, three passes defended and one interception which he returned for a touchdown during the loss to the Broncos on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward probably should have had two interceptions returned for touchdowns, as the former Packers cornerback dropped what appeared to be an easy pick-six in the second quarter. With Sunday's performance, Hayward now leads the team with four interceptions, but he recorded the prior three interceptions during the first three games of the season.

Hayward recorded six tackles and one pass defense in Sunday's win over the Falcons.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward put together another solid performance despite the Chargers losing another member of their secondary, this time Craig Mager to a concussion. Hayward will continue to see plenty of throws his way as teams look to expose the near depleted Chargers secondary, and as such, might factor in his fair share of tackles.

Hayward finished Thursday's win over the Broncos with six tackles and one pass defended.

EDGE Analysis

Getting the start on the outside with both Jason Verrett (knee) and Brandon Flowers (concussion) out, Hayward performed exceptionally well, locking down the Broncos passing game for much of the night. Hayward has certainly done his part since coming over from the Packers, and seems to be developing into a solid cornerback, both on the outside and in the slot.

Hayward led the Chargers in tackles, picking up eight in Sunday's loss to the Raiders.

EDGE Analysis

With Jason Verrett (knee) landing on IR earlier this week, and Brandon Flowers missing a second consecutive game due to a concussion, Hayward took on added responsibility in the secondary. While he didn't record an interception, he did respond with an outstanding eight tackle performance. He'll face a difficult task Thursday, as the Chargers take on the Broncos.

Hayward picked up three tackles (two solo), one pass defended and an interception in the loss to the Colts Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward has now recorded three interceptions in the last two games and has picked up a fair number of tackles in the process. With games against the Saints and Raiders up next on the schedule, Hayward will see plenty of opportunities to add onto his interception total.

Hayward recorded two interceptions and four solo tackles in the win over the Jaguars on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward became the first Chargers player since 2011 to record multiple interceptions in a game, as the former Packers cornerback hounded Blake Bortles all afternoon. Both interceptions came in the first half, effectively stymieing the explosive Jaguars offense for the majority of the first half. While Hayward has seen plenty of snaps through two weeks, that's due to the fact that the Chargers have built impressive leads early, making their opposition have to come back through the air. As the nickel cornerback, Hayward should still see plenty of time on the field, but not enough to warrant IDP consideration on most weeks.

Hayward has signed a three-year deal with the Chargers, ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Hayward -- who recorded 65 tackles in 16 games for the Packers last season -- gives the Chargers some added depth at cornerback behind Jason Verrett and Brandon Flowers, with Patrick Robinson a candidate to leave the team as a free agent.

Hayward (concussion) is listed as active Sunday against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

One week removed from suffering a concussion, Hayward's presence means that the Packers' secondary is intact for the first time in weeks. Expect him to start at cornerback opposite Sam Shields (shoulder).
