The Buccaneers have signed Carter to a four-year contract, ESPN.com reports.

Carter, who recorded 68 tackles and five picks in 13 games for the Cowboys this past season, adds versatility to the Bucs' linebacking corps, given his experience at three different linebacker positions during his time with Dallas.

Carter (knee) has a huge game on Sunday to finish the season, racking up 11 tackles and two INTs.

The linebacker wound up leading the Cowboys with five INTs on the season, but he started just eight games even with Sean Lee lost for the season, and his 68 tackles in 13 games were well below expectations. Carter will be a free agent next season, and there's no guarantee he'll be back with the Cowboys.

Carter (finger) recorded seven tackles and an interception during Sunday's win over the Jaguars.

It's his first productive IDP game since returning to the lineup from a quad strain in Week 8. With the Cowboys having a Week 11 bye, don't rush to the waiver wire to grab him, but he could be productive once the team gets back on the field.

Carter (thigh/finger) is listed as active Sunday against the Cardinals, Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Carter sustained a broken finger in practice Thursday, but the appendage won't deter his ability to play. His first tackle since Week 4 could very well come to pass as the Cowboys weakside linebacker.

Carter (thigh/finger) is probable for Sunday's game against Arizona.

Carter broke a finger in practice this week, but it's evidently a non-issue. He should serve as Dallas' second linebacker behind Rolando McClain.

Carter (thigh) suffered a broken ring finger during Thursday's practice, the Cowboys' official site reports.

Carter intends to play Sunday against the Cardinals in spite of the concern, which is substantiated by the full practice that he logged Wednesday. Although he didn't make a dent in the box score during his Week 8 return, after three games missed due to a strained quad, he tallied 25 tackles (17 solo), one touchdown after interception, and one sack in the first four games of the season.

Carter (quadriceps) is listed as active for Monday's game against Washington.

Carter checks back into the Dallas lineup with 25 tackles, a sack and a pick in four games to date, after missing the team's last three games with a quad issue.

Carter (quadriceps) practiced fully in Friday's practice.

After upgrading from limited to full practice participation from Thursday to Friday, it's looking like Carter is a good bet to make his return to the starting Dallas defense against Washington on Monday. Carter and Rolando McClain have been a surprisingly effective pair when healthy, and the Dallas defense should get another boost in Week 9 if DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) is ready to play, as expected.

Carter (quadriceps) was limited in Thursday's practice, the Cowboys' official site reports. "I'm going to be ready to play. I'm going to listen to my body and see how the week goes," he said. "Today it felt great, and I was able to move around and burst and do those sort of things. It just felt good to hit somebody else."

Carter, who returned to drills for the first time since sustaining a strained quad in Week 4, is expected to team up with Justin Durant and Rolando McClain at linebacker in Dallas' 4-3 alignment. With 25 tackles (17 solo), four passes defended, one interception for a touchdown, and one sack on the ledger in portions of four tilts, Carter is a great bet to warrant usage in IDP formats right off the bat.

Carter (quad) will return to practice on Thursday, and should be in the lineup Monday against Washington, the Dallas Morning News reports.

He'll resume his starting role at strong-side linebacker, and could be a useful IDP asset if you're having bye week issues.
