Jones signed a two-year contract with the Eagles on Monday. Recently released by the Packers, Jones struggled with both injuries and ineffective play in 2014, but he does have 36 career starts to his name. He's a candidate to start next to Mychal Kendricks in Philly's 3-4 defense, but Jones probably won't have a three-down role, even if he gets the job. So long as Kendricks stays healthy, Jones is unlikely to emerge as an IDP option.

Jones was released by the Packers on Friday.Jones joined Green Bay as a seventh-round pick in 2009 and earned a starting inside linebacker position ahead of the 2013 campaign. However, despite posting a career-best 84 tackles (60 solo) that year, Jones often left something to be desired from his performances and was jumped by both Jabari Lattimore and Sam Barrington on the Packers' depth chart at times during the 2014 campaign. Upon his release Friday, Jones will now enter the offseason as a free agent capable of signing with any team league-wide.

Jones (quadriceps) is active for Thursday's game against the Vikings, the Packers' official site reports. Although Jones is making his first appearance since Week 1, his eventual snap count remains to be seen. Since he isn't fully healthy, as evidenced by limited practices this week, he yield the start at inside linebacker to Jamari Lattimore, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.

Jones (quadriceps) is listed as probable for Thursday's contest versus the Vikings. Jones practiced in a limited fashion all week, just as he did leading into Sunday's win at Chicago. However, he's bumped up from a questionable designation, which seems to forecast his first appearance since Week 1. If he suits up, he could very well enter the starting lineup next to fellow inside linebacker A.J. Hawk.

Jones (thigh) is inactive for Sunday's tilt with the Bears, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. He was a limited participant in practice all week, and evidently didn't make enough progress with the injury to the Packers' liking. With Jones unavailable against the Bears, Jamari Lattimore will make the start at strong-side inside linebacker for the third straight week.

Jones (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago. Jones was a limited practice participant all week, but he's still not a guarantee to suit up Sunday. Jamari Lattimore should step in as starter if Jones sits.

Jones (quad) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Jones could return this week after missing the last two games. It remains to be seen if either he or Jamari Lattimore would start alongside A.J. Hawk in the event that Jones suits up Sunday.

Jones (Quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Ty Dunne of the Milwaukee journal Sentinel reports. Teammate Jamari Lattimore is expected to start in Jones' place, with Sam Barrington also a potential replacement. Jones struggled in the Packers' season opener, so this could be an opportunity for either Lattimore or Barrington to see some extra playing time down the road.

Jones (quadriceps) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, the Packers' official site reports. Jones had a horrendous opener last Thursday in Seattle, missing three tackles and committing two defensive holding penalties. If he's sidelined Sunday against the Jets, Jamari Lattimore will fill in at inside linebacker, with Sam Barrington increasing his snap count in kind.

Jones (quadriceps) is active Thursday at Seattle. Despite being limited in practice in advance of the opener, Jones will suit up and likely slot into one of the inside linebacker spots in the base defense. He's coming off an 84-tackle, three-sack campaign in just 12 contests.
