Wagner and the Seahawks have opened talks regarding a long-term contract extension, reports.

Wagner is currently entering the final year of his rookie contract, which is slated to pay him less than $1 million this season. However, coming off a Super Bowl and a first-team All-Pro selection the past two years, Wagner's value has proven to far exceed his current contract. A second-round pick in 2012, Wagner is arguably the best linebacker on the NFL's best defense, making him a vital component that the Seahawks will hope to keep around long-term.

Wagner (toe) is active for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals.

Wagner is making his first appearance since Week 6, when he was diagnosed with turf toe. He'll look to improve Seattle's run defense, while attempting to sustain the 10 tackle per game pace set prior to the injury.

Wagner (toe) is probable for Sunday's game against Arizona.

Wagner logged full practices Thursday and Friday, locking him back into the starting lineup and perhaps even a three-down role right away as the Seahawks head into this crucial divisional matchup. Wagner is an elite linebacker by any standard and should be owned in all IDP leagues that use linebackers. He had 50 tackles in his first five games this year before his toe injury took him down. Wagner's return could push Malcolm Smith to the periphery.

After such a sudden upgrade to full capacity in drills, Wagner seems poised to make his first appearance since Week 6. However, it's unclear how much work he'll take away from Brock Coyle (glute) at middle linebacker.

Wagner (toe) will likely practice Wednesday, Liz Mathews of reports.

Assuming that's the case, Wagner should have a shot to play Sunday against the Cardinals, and once he re-establishes that he is up to speed health-wise, the linebacker should make for a nice IDP stretch run pickup.

Wagner will run on the ground this week for the first time since injuring his toe in Week 1 against the Cowboys, The Seattle Times reports.

Wagner hasn't seen game action since suffering the injury in Week 1, but appears to be nearing a return date. He should retake his spot alongside Bruce Irvin at inside linebacker when he finally rejoins the lineup.

Wagner (toe) is ahead of schedule in his recovery but is unlikely to return this week, Liz Mathews of ESPN reports.

Wagner has not played since Oct. 12 against Dallas and is unlikely to be ready for Sunday's showdown with the Giants. However, it appears as though he's close to returning to practice, so he should be back in the mix within the next few weeks.
