Jackson (foot) was released by the Cardinals on Monday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson was among the cuts by Arizona's front office in order to reach the 75-man threshold. The four-year veteran could very well latch on elsewhere as depth to another secondary.

Jackson (foot) won't suit up for Friday's preseason game against the Raiders, the Cardinals' official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Stalwarts of the secondary like Patrick Peterson (ankle) and Justin Bethel (foot) entered training camp with injury concerns, opening the door for reserve DBs to stake a claim to a role. While rookie Brandon Williams has done just that, Jackson was listed as a third-stringer on the Cardinals' first unofficial depth chart. The injury may have played a part, but Jackson will have to show in the three remaining exhibitions in order to land on the 53-man roster.

Jackson was signed by the Ravens on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Jackson was suspended twice during his first stint in Baltimore, and he failed to make the final roster this year. With the team once again desperate for help at cornerback, Jackson might actually see the field in Week 6. He's shown some promise as a return man, but his work as a cornerback has been far from impressive.

Jackson was released by the Giants on Tuesday, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson was released by the Ravens on Saturday, then signed by the Giants on Sunday. He's shown some potential in the return game, but he's also had trouble holding on to the ball, and his work at cornerback leaves much to be desired.

Jackson was claimed off of waivers by the Giants on Sunday, the team's official site reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson was released by the Ravens on Saturday, after spending his first three seasons in Baltimore. Jackson is the fifth cornerback on the Giants active roster. The Giants released tackle Kenrick Ellis and cornerback Mike Harris to make room for both Jackson and defensive tackle Louis Nix who were both signed Sunday.

Jackson has been used as the Ravens' primary return man for the first three preseason games, The Baltimore Sun reports.

EDGE Analysis

Jackson had an interesting night Saturday against the Redskins, returning a kickoff for 103 yards to the two-yard line, but then muffing a punt later in the game. With nobody else stepping up to fill the role, Jackson is the favorite to handle both kickoffs and punts at the start of the season. He'll be no higher than fourth or fifth on the depth chart at cornerback.

Jackson is a candidate to return punts this season, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Jackson finished last season on injured reserve with a knee injury but seems to have made a full recovery. The former fifth-round pick has played just 14 games through three seasons, due to a combination of injuries and suspensions. He'll compete for a depth role in the Baltimore secondary during training camp, but a job on special teams may present his best shot to get on the field.

Jackson (knee) will miss the rest of the season, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.

He suffered the knee injury in Sunday's win over the Jaguars, and will now leave the Ravens a little shorthanded in the secondary.

Jackson suffered a right knee injury during Sunday's win over the Jaguars, the Ravens' official website reports.

The injury appeared to be fairly serious, as Jackson was unable to put any weight on his right leg while being carried off the field. The Ravens have been devastated by injuries at the cornerback position this season, and the team was forced to turn to 2013 UDFA Rashaan Melvin for the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Melvin was excellent down the stretch, making him the likely starter across from Lardarius Webb for Week 16, if Jackson is unable to play.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is optimistic that Jackson (toe) will return from IR/designated to return for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, the Ravens' official website reports.

Jackson would likely return as either the starting right cornerback or nickel corner, and while Jackson mostly struggled earlier this season, Baltimore needs all the help it can get in the secondary. Converted safety Anthony Levine has been picked on as the starting right cornerback, leading to 19 tackles (14 solo) over the past two weeks. Jackson still wouldn't be much of an IDP option, but he could perhaps emerge as one before the end of the season.
