Johnson's (ankle) status in advance of Week 7's game against the Saints is unclear, the Detroit Free Press reports.
With reference to Johnson's possible availability this weekend, coach Jim Caldwell placed the wideout in the same category as injured teammates Reggie Bush (ankle) and Theo Riddick (hamstring). "All three guys, I think, are coming along and improving rapidly," Caldwell said. "So we'll see where we are." More on Johnson's status no later than Wednesday, when the Lions return to practice, but for now ESPN.com suggests that the coach is taking a "wait and see" approach with regard to Johnson, Bush and Riddick.

I have D. Thomas, M. Sanu, J. Maclin, J. Gordon, and Megatron in my dynasty league.
Should I try to trade Megatron for a RB1 (I'm thin at RB) with the depth I have a WR?
Per the Detroit Free Press: "Lions coach Jim Caldwell was coy on Calvin Johnson's (high-ankle sprain) status in Monday's presser, but did not rule out the idea of resting him through Detroit's Week 9 bye.
"The fact of the matter is I leave it up to the doctors," Caldwell said. "Those are the professionals. They know exactly what it takes, what can be done." Coaches are typically more pessimistic about injuries than players, but Caldwell's words are an ominous sign for Johnson's Week 7 status. For now, owners need to plan on their WR1 missing another game. Megatron's status will be updated no later than Wednesday. "
Now I'm even more ticked that Caldwell didn't rest him sooner.
I' just took this team over with him on it 2-4 i think imma keep him because we have a long season and the other teams in my league is either 2-4 or 3-2 so this will be interesting

I'd go for it if someone is deep at rb and thin at wr

Only if you can get Demarco Murray, Giovanni Bernard, or Jamaal Charles. No other RBs are worth the risk.

So Caldwell is listening to doctors now, nice job. What was in his earhole two weeks ago?
Rest the man until he says he's ready, then unleash the beast.
