While the report suggests that Tolbert won't need surgery, he's clearly going to miss some time, with coach Ron Rivera acknowledging Monday that that Tolbert's status will "probably be a week-by-week thing." With running back Jonathan Stewart also hurting, the Panthers' backfield depth is taxed as the moment, though on a more encouraging front, DeAngelo Williams is expect to practice on Wednesday.
