New coach Mike McCoy said he feels "very fortunate" to be working with Philip Rivers.

McCoy probably wouldn't have taken the job in San Diego if he didn't think Rivers had plenty left in the tank. Perhaps he sees something on tape we didn't. Rivers appears to have lost the pop in his arm and has turned the ball over 47 times in his last 32 games. Even with the offensive gurus McCoy and Ken Whisenhunt in town, we can't project a major bounce-back campaign. Rivers' yards-per-attempt has decreased in each of the last four seasons.
