James Starks RB GB Nov 04 '781 Comment

Running backs coach Alex Van Pelt conceded that James Starks is probably better suited for a change-of-pace role at this point.

Now 27 years old, Starks has blown his chance to seize control of the Packers' backfield. He's missed 13 games over the last two seasons due to injury and averaged just 3.59 YPC in 2012. Starks will be back in Green Bay next season for the final year of his rookie contract, but we can safely expect him to be part of a committee. DuJuan Harris, Alex Green and possibly impending free agent Cedric Benson will also be in the mix.

All moot anyway because GB will draft Stephan Taylor and use harris as the change of pace back. Benson, Sane, Grant, and possibly even Kuhn will all be cut. They'll find a cheaper fullback, and Starks and Green will both ride the bench or play on special teams.
