Jackie Battle rushed 19 times for just 37 yards in the Chargers' Week 17 win over the Raiders. Pressed into a feature back role once again, the plodding Battle predictably got nothing going. Running with form similar to that of an elephant, he finishes the season averaging 3.27 YPC on 95 rushes. The Chargers desperately need to upgrade the backup position behind Ryan Mathews. Battle is now an unrestricted free agent anyway.
