Beat writer Anwar Richardson believes KevinSmith will be released if Jahvid Best (concussions) gets cleared.
Smith is a healthy scratch in Week 6. Per Richardson, the coaches "believe he didn't hit the hole hard enough, and lacked a burst of speed" during his short-lived stint as the starter this season. Smith is now clearly behind Mikel Leshoure, Joique Bell and Keiland Williams on the depth chart.
Yeah, they are real idiots. I can't believe what they did the week that Leshoure first came back. Smith had been playing well, and many sites projected him to score 10+ Fantasy Points that week... Instead, he gets 0 touches and they just go completely with Leshoure. Still irked by that. Maybe this is why they struggle, even when they have a good team overall.
