Free agent RB Kahlil Bell worked out for the Patriots on Saturday.
The Pats are likely just doing their due diligence, though Bell would be an upgrade on undrafted rookie Brandon Bolden. Bolden made the Pats' initial 53-man roster despite averaging just 3.6 yards on his 36 preseason carries while fumbling twice.
