According to SI's Don Banks, the Ravens are "holding out hope" that Terrell Suggs (Achilles' surgery) can contribute as a situational pass rusher late this season.

Per Banks, Suggs would ideally return in a "reduced role," playing "only on passing downs" after opening the season on PUP. The Ravens could also opt against activating Suggs if Paul Kruger emerges as a viable rush linebacker with Courtney Upshaw at SAM. The odds are against Suggs making a 2012 impact.
