Hayward (hamstring) will not play in Friday's preseason game, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Paul Imig reports. He did not practice Thursday after exiting early from Wednesday's session, and the fact that he won't play Friday after what was labeled as a maintenance day Thursday, is certainly cause for concern. Hayward's talent has never been in question since he was drafted by Green Bay in 2012, but he was a non-factor last season due to injuries, and it would be a major hit to the Packers' secondary if he was limited again in 2014. Hopefully we'll see some progress in his status during next week's practices.
