Patriots FS Devin McCourty earned a $3 million salary escalator, raising his 2014 base salary from $920,000 to $3.92 million. McCourty earned the bump in pay due to him playing at least 80 percent of the defensive snaps in each of his first four seasons. Entering the final year of his contract, McCourty is now scheduled to count $5.115 million against the 2014 salary cap. It makes him a prime candidate for a contract extension.
