Pierre-Paul is expected to receive the Giants' franchise tag, should he fail to reach a long-term contract extension with the team by Mar. 2, ESPN.com reports. Pierre-Paul posted a much-improved 12.5 sacks during his contract year last season and doing so has put JPP in a great position to cash-in this offseason. With the Giants looking to maintain their accomplished pass-rusher, Pierre-Paul is expected to either sign a long-term deal or be franchise tagged in the coming weeks. As a result, it appears Pierre-Paul will remain with the Giants next season, when he'll look to build on his resurgent campaign last term.
