Carr completed 348-of-599 passes for 3,270 yards, 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, and added 92 yards on 29 rushes, in 16 games during his rookie season. Although the Raiders seemed to have every intention of sitting Carr for most the year when they drafted him 36th overall back in May, Matt Schaub's elbow injury and poor play during the preseason thrust Carr into the starting role in Week 1. The 23-year-old certainly endured some growing pains, with the Raiders dropping their first 10 games, but Carr led the team to three straight home wins to close the year, tossing six touchdowns against zero interceptions in those victories. He did fumble 10 times on the year despite taking only 24 sacks -- by comparison, his brother, David, was sacked a record 76 times as a rookie in 2002 -- but lost only four of those fumbles and should have a lot of confidence heading into 2015. If GM Reggie McKenzie can get him some more weapons on offense, Carr could start to separate himself from the QB2 pack in his second year as the Raiders' starter.
