Blount (shoulder) ran 10 times for a team-high 62 yards in Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Bills. After sitting out Week 16's game, Blount was able to re-establish his health Sunday in advance of the upcoming postseason. Once the Patriots return to action in the divisional round of the playoffs, Blount is a candidate to head the Patriots' backfield committee, which will also include Shane Vereen, fellow power back Jonas Gray (health permitting) and Brandon Bolden, to a lesser degree.
