Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting with 14 rebounds, one steal and one block in Friday's 89-79 loss to the Heat.

MKG got a cream puff matchup at the wings with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade out tonight, and he has been awful lately for fantasy owners. Still, maybe this is the game that gets him going and perhaps the Bobcats focus on developing him. Owners should watch closely, and we wouldn't rule out a speculative add if you're feeling very lucky.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (personal) is expected to return on Wednesday.

MKG didn't play on Monday but he's fully expected back on Wednesday and should be in the starting lineup.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist called his first season in the NBA "a true grind."

MKG is beginning to feel the effects of what an 82-game season feels like, a typical sentiment for rookies. Despite the comment, Kidd-Gilchrist had a productive March with averages of 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.7 blocks on 48.9 percent shooting. "I love Charlotte," Kidd-Gilchrist said. "I mean, I like everything about our basketball team."

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will not play on Monday due to personal family issues.

Hopefully everything works out for MKG and his family. Jeff Adrien and Jeff Taylor figure to be the biggest beneficiaries in his absence, though neither jumps out as a fantasy option.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting in a futile effort vs. Philadelphia, and he also grabbed nine rebounds in 34 minutes.

This was MKG's first 20-point game since late December. We remain wary of his inconsistency, but he has quietly scored double-digits in four of the past five games and it seems Mike Dunlap is starting to give him a bit more freedom. He has enough versatility to be an 'x-factor' pickup in the final weeks of the season.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a solid game against the Knicks with 14 points, eight boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 31 minutes.

After a disgusting February that included MKG shooting 31.0 percent from the field, he's been able to turn it around in March, shooting a respectable 45 percent. Some of his improvement can be chalked up to Gerald Henderson getting to the rim and causing the defense to collapse, but Kidd-Gilchrist is worth a look now for now.
