Tyson Chandler (neck) said that he's "close to 100 %."

Chandler hasn't been fully healthy for quite some time, and although he's been at far less than full strength in Round 1, the Knicks have been able to stay successful. "These three games have been my conditioning," he said. "I feel like I'm getting better and better every game." The improved health of Chandler will only make the Knicks more dangerous going forward.

Tyson Chandler confirmed that he's feeling more "lively" than he did during Game 1 of the first round series vs. Boston.

"Game 2, I was a lot more lively," he said. "My legs were a lot better. I feel I'll be even better in Game 3 and start sprinting the floor and creating second-chance opportunities." Chandler has been limited to under 25 minutes in each of the first two games of the series, and even though he's feeling better, he's still not at full strength. Kenyon Martin's addition has proven extremely valuable for New York.

Knicks coach Mike Woodson says Tyson Chandler lost weight while dealing with his neck injury and hasn't yet recovered.

Chandler and Woodson have both noted that the big man is slowly but surely improving his conditioning, something likely connected to his weight loss. Although Chandler's still not 100 percent, the Knicks have been saved by the signing of veteran Kenyon Martin, who has been a huge piece both off the bench and in the starting lineup. Chandler played 22 minutes during a Game 2 win, but it's possible that could creep upward during Friday's Game 3.

Tyson Chandler played 22 minutes against the Celtics during a Game 2 win, scoring three points with five boards and one block.

He still not at 100 percent even though he and Mike Woodson have been saying his health and conditioning are improving. The Kenyon Martin signing has been big and K-Mart played 23 minutes with three points, 11 boards and four blocks. The Knicks will head to Boston for Game 3 on Friday and the two days off should help Chandler's health.

Tyson Chandler said that his conditioning has improved.

That's to be expected after Chandler missed extended time down the stretch and is now just getting back in the swing of things. Although he's dealing with minor neck stiffness, which he said he expected, Chandler should be a bigger factor in Game 2 after being completely ineffective in limited run during Saturday's Game 1.

Mike Woodson didn't seem overly concerned about Tyson Chandler's neck injury and stamina.

"It won't take him long," Woodson said about Chandler getting his wind back. "That was a factor. I could tell the way he was moving that he didn't have the kind of pop we're used to seeing him have." Chandler only played 20 minutes on Saturday and he'll likely be above 25 on Tuesday.

Tyson Chandler returned from his neck injury on Saturday, failing to score with five boards and one steal in 20 minutes.

He didn't take any shots and the Knicks had no interest in running pick-and-roll plays to Chandler today. The good news is that the Knicks are off until Tuesday for Game 2, so the extra time could help Chandler get back to 100 percent after missing 10 games in the last month of the season.
