The Mavs started Dirk Nowitzki at center in their previous game against an undersized Nets team, so it's difficult to speculate on how they will handle Monday's contest. Richard Jefferson, Al-Farouq Aminu and Amare Stoudemire should all see extended run as the Mavs will likely look to play small ball for most of the night. Consider Chandler day-to-day.

Chandler (hip) won't play Saturday against the Nets due to a hip contusion, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Although Chandler was hopeful that he would make his return Saturday, the Mavericks have opted to give Chandler additional rest. Bernard Jams is the likely candidate to start at center in his place, but with another day to recover, Chandler is a prime candidate to return Monday against the Pelicans.

Chandler emerged from Tuesday's game with minor injuries to his ankle and hip flexor, but he told reporters he does not expect to miss any time. However, he'll be held out Wednesday, joining a list of inactive Mavericks that includes Chandler Parsons, Amar'e Stoudemire and Rajon Rondo. The team is yet to announce who will get the nod in Chandler's place, but with Stoudemire also out, Greg Smith and Bernard James figure to see significant bumps in minutes.
