Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 13 Days

Isaiah Thomas (quad) is not likely to return on Saturday, according to Kings writer James Ham.

Thomas' official status hasn't yet been disclosed but owners should anticipate being without him for at least one more game. He said that he's aiming to return on either Sunday or for Wednesday's season finale, and he deserves some credit for at least trying to return this late in a lost season.

Isaiah Thomas said on Friday that he is trying to return for Sunday's game against the Wolves or Wednesday's game against the Suns.

If Thomas returns to action he'll be worth starting and at the same time the Kings may decide to trot out Ray McCallum for a significant workload anyway. A full court press is on by some in the local media to hand the car keys over to McCallum after the rookie's short stint, but whether or not the team shares that viewpoint remains to be seen. It's worth noting the same anti-IT group had Aaron Brooks and Jimmer Fredette rated higher than Thomas for most of his short career.

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will not play on Saturday vs. the Clippers and is doubtful to play on Sunday vs. the Wolves.

This is unusual timing for the Kings with Thomas. Just about all of Thomas' nine previous DNPs were announced the night of that game, so the team ruling him out early this time around suggests he might be out for the season. Ray McCallum will continue to see huge minutes at the point guard spot.

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday.

This will be his ninth consecutive game out of the lineup and the likelihood of the Pizza Guy sitting out the rest of the season seems to be growing. Ray McCallum has looked a bit tired with his ridiculous minutes total, but he's a must-own, must-start player. He also has a nice matchup tonight. Fantasy owners should probably have cut Thomas already.

Isaiah Thomas' deep thigh bruise will cause him to miss his eighth consecutive game on Tuesday.

Kings rookie Ray McCallum has been a must-start player in his option, averaging 45 minutes per game as a starter, and it's unclear if or when IT2 will return this season. With only four games left after Tuesday, the odds are dwindling quickly.

The Kings are "still holding out some hope" that Isaiah Thomas (bruised quad) will return this season.

"That decision has not been made at this point," Malone said, referring to shutting down IT2 for the year. "But we're not going to risk anything." The Kings only have five games on the schedule and they've been able to give Ray McCallum invaluable playing time as a starter in Thomas' absence, all of which weighs against a possible return.

The Sacramento Bee has listed Ray McCallum as the Kings' projected starting point guard for Friday's game against the Warriors.

Isaiah Thomas (quad) did not appear close to playing on Wednesday and won't push it with the season nearly over. We'd consider him closer to doubtful than questionable for Friday night. The impressive McCallum is averaging 17.6 points, 6.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 3-pointers across the last five games.

Isaiah Thomas (bruised quad) said on Wednesday night that he's still unsure when he can return to the lineup.

He added he can't fully bend his leg yet and basically said he's surprise how long it's taking to heal. Outside of an MRI to confirm his deep thigh bruise on Wednesday evening, things have been quiet regarding Thomas' injury. The Kings will travel to Golden State for Friday's game and Thomas should be considered closer to doubtful. Ray McCallum has been outstanding and is a must-own player until the Pizza Guy is back.

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will not play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Isaiah Thomas will not play against the Pelicans on Monday night.

This will be his fourth game out and he should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers. Ray McCallum went the distance on Saturday and has clearly gained the confidence of coach Mike Malone. He'll get a nice matchup tonight and is an option for almost any fantasy owner in a decent matchup.
