Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 3 Days

Isaiah Thomas (quad) made a surprising return to action on Sunday, starting at PG and finishing with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting, three rebounds and four assists in 30 minutes.

Thomas had been targeting a return on Wednesday but he felt good during pre-game warmups and decided to suit up with the training staff's blessing. He looked great in the first quarter and the only real problem seemed to be his conditioning, so he should be fine for Wednesday's season finale.

Updating a previous report, Isaiah Thomas (quad) will start Sunday's game in place of rookie Ray McCallum.

Thomas was originally ruled out, then listed as doubtful, then questionable, and now he's starting. He may not play a ton of minutes in his first game back after a long absence, but it's still good news for the Kings and anyone who held onto him despite his injury and the threat of him being shut down for the year.

Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 3 Days

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will be 'active' for the Kings on Sunday, though it's uncertain whether he'll play.

Thomas feels good enough to suit up but coach Mike Malone may take the cautious route and bench him again, before starting him in Wednesday's finale. Most fantasy owners are probably riding Ray McCallum at this point, especially since IT2 wasn't expected to return this weekend, so this may throw a wrench in the works.

Kings coach Mike Malone said that there's an "outside chance" Isaiah Thomas (quad) will return on Sunday.

Thomas wasn't expected to play this weekend and he's been targeting a Wednesday return, but it's encouraging that he'll at least try to warm up. If he doesn't play, rookie Ray McCallum will once again play all the minutes he can handle at PG.

Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 4 Days

Updating a previous report, Isaiah Thomas will not play on Saturday or Sunday but he could return for Wednesday's season finale.

IT2 was hoping to return for Sunday's game but coach Mike Malone doesn't want him to play without having first practiced. Ray McCallum should once again play big minutes as the Kings' starting PG, a role in which he's averaged 14.4 points, 1.1 threes, 3.6 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.7 steals.

Isaiah Thomas (quad) is not likely to return on Saturday, according to Kings writer James Ham.

Thomas' official status hasn't yet been disclosed but owners should anticipate being without him for at least one more game. He said that he's aiming to return on either Sunday or for Wednesday's season finale, and he deserves some credit for at least trying to return this late in a lost season.

Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 5 Days

Isaiah Thomas said on Friday that he is trying to return for Sunday's game against the Wolves or Wednesday's game against the Suns.

If Thomas returns to action he'll be worth starting and at the same time the Kings may decide to trot out Ray McCallum for a significant workload anyway. A full court press is on by some in the local media to hand the car keys over to McCallum after the rookie's short stint, but whether or not the team shares that viewpoint remains to be seen. It's worth noting the same anti-IT group had Aaron Brooks and Jimmer Fredette rated higher than Thomas for most of his short career.

Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 5 Days

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will not play on Saturday vs. the Clippers and is doubtful to play on Sunday vs. the Wolves.

This is unusual timing for the Kings with Thomas. Just about all of Thomas' nine previous DNPs were announced the night of that game, so the team ruling him out early this time around suggests he might be out for the season. Ray McCallum will continue to see huge minutes at the point guard spot.

Isaiah Thomas PG SAC 7 Days

Isaiah Thomas (quad) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday.

This will be his ninth consecutive game out of the lineup and the likelihood of the Pizza Guy sitting out the rest of the season seems to be growing. Ray McCallum has looked a bit tired with his ridiculous minutes total, but he's a must-own, must-start player. He also has a nice matchup tonight. Fantasy owners should probably have cut Thomas already.

Isaiah Thomas' deep thigh bruise will cause him to miss his eighth consecutive game on Tuesday.

Kings rookie Ray McCallum has been a must-start player in his option, averaging 45 minutes per game as a starter, and it's unclear if or when IT2 will return this season. With only four games left after Tuesday, the odds are dwindling quickly.
