Kenneth Faried, who missed Saturday's Game 1 with a sprained left ankle, says he's going to play in Game 2 against the Warriors.
"I want to play," he said. "You can't keep a person who wants to play, down. With my job and my commitment and the things I've been doing with the training staff, I'm just focused and locked in and getting better. I'm going to play." The Nuggets will look for Faried to have a huge role against the Warriors, who lost David Lee for the remainder of the playoffs with a torn hip flexor. Faried plans to practice on Monday and we should have a better idea of his availability for Game 2 after that. But barring a setback, it sounds like he's going to play.
