Faried (thumb) won't take the court Wednesday versus the Suns, the Arizona Republic reports.

Faried suffered a bruised thumb in the second quarter Monday against the Nets, and while X-rays were returned negative, he's still dealing with a fair amount of discomfort. In his stead, Darrell Arthur will get the nod at power forward. Meanwhile, consider Faried questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz.

Faried (thumb) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Suns, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.

Faried injured his thumb in the second quarter of Monday's loss to Brooklyn. X-rays on the thumb were negative, and Faried has been officially diagnosed with just a bruise. It's still causing him considerable discomfort, however, so Faried should essentially be considered a game-time call. A more definitive report should be available once he's had an opportunity to test out the thumb in warmups.

Faried injured his thumb in the second quarter of Monday's loss to the Nets, although he was able to return to the bench in the second half.

He finished the game with just four points (1-4 FG, 2-4 FT) and five rebounds and a block in 13 minutes. Should Faried's thumb injury prove to be serious, look for Darrell Arthur and JJ Hickson to split most of his court time.

Faried scored 17 points (6-8 FG, 5-5 FT) with 11 rebounds and a block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.

With the last traces of the illness that slowed him down over the weekend out of his system, Faried was able to take advantage of the defensively-soft Boston frontcourt despite leaving the game briefly in the third quarter due to a cut on his head. Look for him to find a little less room to move in the paint on Friday against the Pistons.

Faried (illness) will start Wednesday's game in Boston.

Despite dealing with an illness, Faried is getting the nod in both sides of the Nuggets' current back-to-back set. On Tuesday, though, he mustered no points (0-6 FG), five rebounds, and one steal in 19 minutes. As a result, he may not be able to uphold his status as a near double-double threat.

Faried (illness) played just 19 minutes on Tuesday, failing to score a point on 0-for-6 shooting and collecting just five rebounds.

If the Nuggets' frontcourt weren't so beat up at the moment, Faried likely wouldn't have played at all on Tuesday, so the poor performance doesn't come as a surprise. With the club playing again Wednesday in Boston, Faried may not be healthy enough to take advantage of the Celtics' soft defense in the paint, so don't consider him an automatic start despite the opposition.

Faried (illness) will play Tuesday but remains weakened, the Denver Post's Chris Dempsey reports.

With JaVale McGee out and Darrell Arthur only likely to play in an emergency, Faried may be asked to play big minutes, although he is clearly not 100 percent healthy.
