Drunk driving charges against Jonas Valanciunas have been dropped.

Valanciunas was charged in April after police alleged that he drove through a drive-thru restaurant in Wasaga Beach with open bottles in plain view. The Crown advised the court on Tuesday that there was "not a reasonable prospect of conviction" in pursing charges against Valanciunas."We're pleased that the crown reassessed the case and accepted our position," Valanciunas' lawyer, Melanie Webb, told reporters. The 22-year-old is coming off a 2013-14 season during which he averaged 11.3 points, 8.8 boards, and 0.9 blocks while shooting 53.1% from the field and should be a solid mid-round pick in fantasy drafts this fall.

Jonas Valanciunas confirmed he will work out with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer.

This is a popular move among big men and a report from 2012 stated the cost of the camp is about $50,000 per week. Valanciunas' offense made some nice strides in his second season with a decent arsenal of go-to moves. In fact, he shot 59,3 percent on all hook shots, 52.9 percent on turnaround jumpers and was also solid around the rim, making 62.8 percent of all shots in the restricted area. He started slow in 2013-14, but he'll have a lot of buzz heading into drafts next year thanks to second-round value in standard leagues over the last month of the season.

Jonas Valanciunas admitted that he barely slept on Saturday and was emotionally spent for Game 7, during which he scored only three points on 1-of-5 shooting.

"I have to learn how to deal with pressure, how to be able to help a team," the 21-year-old said after Toronto's defeat. "I've got to do better job of controlling my head. So, that's the next step, next year. I'm going to play better next time." JV's rookie-scale contract will pay him a guaranteed $3.7 million next season, and he won't hit restricted free agency until the summer of 2016.

Jonas Valanciunas struggled with foul trouble on Sunday and finished Game 4 vs. the Nets with six points, six rebounds and two blocks in a postseason-low 23 minutes of action.

Valanciunas' limited playing time allowed Patrick Patterson (nine points, nine rebounds) to log 32 minutes off the bench. Toronto began the third quarter 1-of-16 from the field but they weathered the storm thanks to an early lead and some terrific defense in the second half, resulting in an 87-79 road victory.

Jonas Valanciunas double-doubled against the Nets on Friday with 10 points, 10 boards and two blocks.

He had a noticeable limp in the fourth quarter and there has been no word as to what bothered him. Valanciunas figures to be fine and tonight's injury didn't cost him any playing time. We'll let you know if he misses practice or the team reveals any info before Game 4 on Sunday.

Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points, 14 rebounds, zero blocks and five turnovers in Tuesday's Game 2 100-95 win over the Nets.

The Nets are a great matchup for JV since they don't really have a true center to speak of and he's playing very well. Kyle Lowry added 14 points, nine rebounds and six assists on 4-of-11 shooting, and Terrence Ross struggled again, hitting just 1-of-8 shots for two points. Given the fact that only DeMar DeRozan really showed up tonight, the Raptors have to be feeling great about getting this win and tying up the series at 1-1.

Jonas Valanciunas set a new Raptors' postseason record with 18 rebounds in Sunday's tough home loss to the Nets, while scoring 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting.

Valanciunas added two assists and two blocks. He turned the ball over six times but the Raptors wouldn't have stood a chance without his activity in the paint. JV's playing time and production have steadily increased since the All-Star break and he'll need to have a great series for Toronto to overcome their early 0-1 deficit.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey said that his team's versatility will be "huge" in their first-round matchup vs. the Nets, who have found success with Paul Pierce starting at PF.

Jonas Valanciunas and Amir Johnson will start in the backcourt, with Patrick Patterson as the first big man off the bench, but the distribution of playing time will be a game-by-game decision. "If we stay big we've got to really pound the boards and take advantage of it if they stay small," Casey said. "But at the same time they're such a lethal three-point shooting team ... if we're getting killed with three-point shooting then we'll have to make some adjustments."

Jonas Valanciunas scored 18 points during Sunday's 116-107 win over the Pistons with eight boards, one assist and one steal.

Just like last year, he's really coming on strong to finish the season. In his previous April games, Valanciunas averaged 18.8 points, 12.2 boards, 1.2 blocks and 0.4 steals on 60.0 percent from the field. He's probably going to have a lot of hype next year even after a mildly disappointing season.
