Thompson provided 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-8 FT) and a game-high 16 rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench in the win over Oklahoma City on Sunday. He added three blocks.

Thompson grabbed a number of boards in traffic and continued to be effective on the glass. He has double digit rebounds in five of his last six games and remains a worthy fantasy candidate for that category despite coming off the bench.

Thompson had six points (3-10 FG, 0-1 FT) with 10 rebounds in 27 minutes in the win over Chicago on Monday.

Thompson returned to the bench with Kevin Love (back) back in the lineup. He still played 27 minutes and had his third straight double-digit rebounding game. His minutes should dip as long as Love stays healthy.

Thompson started Friday's game with Kevin Love (back) out and scored a season-high 24 points (10-12 FG, 4-4 FT) and capped off a double-double with 12 boards in 40 minutes.

Love has back spasms, so it's tough to give him a definitive return date. If Love's out, Thompson could be worth using in daily formats. In his 10 previous starts this season, Thompson averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds with 50.5 percent shooting.

Thompson will get the start in place of Kevin Love (back) Friday against the Clippers, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.

Thompson will get the starting nod as Love sits with back spasms. Despite coming off the bench, Thompson has played big minutes in January, averaging 33.9 per game for the month. He's averaging 10.4 points and 8.6 rebounds over his last eight games.

Thompson was moved back to a bench role Sunday with Timofey Mozgov claiming the starting center job. Thompson put up six points, three rebounds, and one block in 23 minutes.

Thompson can be dropped in all standard leagues. The Cavaliers traded two first-round picks for Mozgov, which means it's unlikely there will be many minutes left for Thompson, especially when LeBron James and Shawn Marion are back from their injuries and using up some of the power forward minutes, too. Thompson is the type of player that needs 36+ minutes per game to be of use in standard leagues, and it's unlikely he sees more than 23-26 minutes going forward if the team is healthy. Wash your hands of Thompson and pick up one of the great big men that has broke out in the last week.

Thompson was just one rebound short of a double-double Friday in a loss to the Warriors, scoring 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 FT) and picking up nine rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Eventually, Thompson will likely slide to the bench with the addition of Timofey Mozgov. Mozgov played just three fewer minutes than Thompson on Friday, and had nine points and eight rebounds. With a timeshare going on in the Cavs' frontcourt, there's not consistent value to take away at this point, but Mozgov may eventually turn into a solid option.

Thompson may stay in the starting lineup Friday against the Warriors since his new teammate Timofey Mozgov is in danger of not getting cleared to play, Dave McMenamin of ESPN reports.

Thompson will almost certainly take a hit in playing time when Mozgov eventually enters the lineup. However, Thompson may have one last hurrah in extended minutes if Mozgov is not ultimately cleared to play Friday.

Thompson is expected to come off the bench behind newly acquired Timofey Mozgov on Friday against the Warriors, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Thompson assumed the role of a starter when Anderson Varejao was diagnosed with a torn Achilles in December but that apparently wasn't the long-term plan as Mozgov was acquired to be a much-needed rim protector alongside the starters. The newly demoted Thompson will almost certainly take a hit in terms of value as a result, starting Friday.

Thompson had a double-double with 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-6 FT) and 14 rebounds in the win over Orlando on Friday. He added three blocks in 43 minutes.

Thompson has strung together four straight double-doubles and looks to be continuing his trend from last year in which he provides big numbers with Anderson Varejao (Achilles) out. He is not a big shot blocker despite the nice game against the Magic.

Thompson double-doubled on Wednesday, scoring 10 points (3-11 FG, 4-4 FT), to go along with 13 rebounds, two assists, and a block in 36 minutes.

Thompson has now put up three-straight double-doubles and from an outsider's perspective he may look like a guy to pick up with Anderson Varejao to miss the rest of the season. What those of you should keep in mind is that two of these games occurred without LeBron James on the floor to make an impact on Thompson's numbers, as well as the fact that he's not really a player that steals or blocks shots. Owners needing numbers from a big man should know that there are much more appealing options on the waiver wire before settling for what Thompson offers.
