The fact that Kanter was able to take part in pregame warmups is certainly a good sign. Although, he's a bit of a risk to deploy on Sunday because his availability won't be released until minutes before tipoff.

Kanter was facing Roy Hibbert and was able to produce a decent amount of points. He did not collect at least 10 boards for the first time with the Thunder, but he should be a good bet to put up nice numbers against Phoenix on Thursday.

Kanter registered his first double-double as a member of the Thunder on Saturday, scoring 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 FT) and grabbing 13 rebounds in 32 minutes in his first game with his new team after Thursday's trade.Kanter now has double-digit rebounds in seven of his last nine games, but his lack of defensive numbers puts a ceiling on his fantasy value. His role when Steven Adams (hand) returns in unclear, but if you need a short-term bump in boards and points, Kanter will likely see decent minutes as the Thunder's starting center.

Kanter and Kyle Singler will start Saturday's game against the Hornets, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports. With Steven Adams (hand) sidelined and Kendrick Perkins no longer on the roster, Kanter was likely an easy choice to start. The Turkish center may get typical starter minutes from the get-go, as OKC has recently been forced to rely on Nick Collison at center. Singler, meanwhile, will start in place of Kevin Durant (foot).

Kanter will be available for Saturday's game against the Hornets, The Oklahoman's Anthony Slater reports. It is unclear how many minutes Kanter will see on a game-to-game basis with Oklahoma City, but they do not run a very complicated offense, so that should not be a barrier of entry. However, Serge Ibaka and Nick Collison will definitely be involved, and when Steven Adams (hand) returns in a week or two, it will be difficult for Kanter to see enough minutes or shots to be useful in full-season leagues.

Kanter has been traded to the Thunder, Yahoo! Sports reports.Kanter asked the Jazz to be traded over the last week, and he finally got his wish. With Kendrick Perkins getting traded to the Jazz and Steven Adams out with a broken hand at the moment, Kanter could be moved right into the starting lineup for the Thunder, but it's possible he could then be moved to a bench role once Adams is healthy. It's worth rostering Kanter in most leagues given the possibility that he gets big minutes on the Thunder.

Kanter has openly expressed his desire to be traded, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.Frustrated after Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks, Kanter expressed his trade wishes as he exited the arena. His agent further elaborated in an interview Thursday, stating that Kanter felt there was a "lack of investment in his development" on the part of the Jazz. Kanter, who hopes to be traded during the All-Star break, is averaging 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor. However, he's playing only 27.1 minutes per game, a number his agent said he feels should be considerably higher. Whether a deal gets done over the next week-and-a-half remains to be seen, but the 22-year-old Kanter would certainly appear to be an attractive potential addition for a number of team.
