Irving scored 17 points (7-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) Friday in a loss to the Pelicans, but didn't score a single point until the fourth quarter, when the Cavaliers were already down by 19.

Irving suffered a knee contusion Thursday night against the Thunder, but started and played 39 minutes Friday. The injury didn't seem to b the problem, he just really struggled to shoot early on in the game. Despite his poor shooting night, Irving's production was still solid from a fantasy standpoint, picking up seven assists and a steal as well.

Irving suffered a left knee contusion in Thursday's game, but will start Friday, the Akron Beacon Journal's Jason Lloyd reports.

This is merely a bookkeeping note, but it's worth acknowledging that he may not be quite 100 percent healthy.

Irving returned to action after an injury scare late in the second quarter on Thursday. He finished with 20 points (7-21 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, six assists, and two steals. He played a team-high 40 minutes in the loss against Oklahoma City and turned the ball over once.

Irving looked to have suffered a severe knee injury Thursday, as he called frantically for his trainer while holding his knee on the ground for several minutes. He returned, however, in the second half to play a lot of minutes. While Irving looked fine in the second half, he indicated after the game that he believes his knee will swell up but he still expects to play Friday against the Pelicans. Assuming he plays, start him in all fantasy formats.

Irving suffered a left knee contusion in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Thunder but will return, Rachael Nichols of the TNT broadcast reports.

Irving's injury initially looked worse than it apparently turned out to be, as he needed to be helped off the court and directly into the locker room. His return indicates he should be fine moving forward barring something unforeseen.

Irving was helped into the locker room during the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Thunder with what appears to be a left knee injury, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Irving landed awkwardly on his left knee while attempting to defend a shot by Russell Westbrook and immediately went down in pain. Fortunately, he was able to put some pressure on his knee while getting helped off the court. The team will likely update his status at some point before the game Friday, but given the nature of the injury, it seems unlikely he will return Thursday.

Irving posted 37 points (12-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 10-11 FT), three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He turned the ball over three times in 44 minutes.

Irving excelled putting the ball in the basket Thursday at the Knicks. He lead the way in scoring for his team, but it's worth noting that that game was too close for comfort against a struggling New York team. Continue to start Irving in all fantasy formats.

Kyrie Irving PG CLE 16 Days

Irving led the Cavaliers with 28 points (10-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-10 FT) with six assists in 41 minutes in the win over the Bucks on Tuesday.

Irving has found his stroke in the new-look Cavalier offense and has hit 54.3 percent of his field goals over his last five games. He is doing the majority of his damage within the arc and was able to get to the line against Milwaukee. Irving is averaging a career-low 4.9 assists.

Kyrie Irving PG CLE 19 Days

Irving eclipsed his season-high on the glass, grabbing 10 rebounds to add to his 24 points (9-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five assists, and three blocks in 36 minutes Saturday.

Irving is averaging 3.1 rebounds per game this season, so not much can be read into this big total, but the other numbers are fairly consistent with what he's been able to do this season, save for the blocks. Impressively, Irving is shooting 46 percent from the field this season, well up on the 43 percent he shot last season ad with additional offensive threats in LeBron James and Kevin Love, the increased efficiency could be here to stay.

Irving scored 27 points (8-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT) with five assists and three steals in 41 minutes in the win over the Celtics on Friday.

Irving has scored at least 27 points in three of his last four games. He helped the furious fourth-quarter comeback with 15 points in quick succession to close the Celtic lead. In his last four games, he has hit 50.7 percent from the field.

Kyrie Irving PG CLE 1 Month

Irving scored 32 points (11-21 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT) to go along with five rebounds and nine assists in 41 minutes Monday against the Pelicans.

Irving has 15 assists in his last two games after failing to record a single assist three games ago against the Jazz. Expect him to provide assists on a more consistent as he gets more comfortable with his new teammates.
