Pekovic (ankle) is still considered doubtful to play Monday, Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune reports.

Despite Pekovic's doubtful status, it appears that he is getting close to a return to the court. He recently said that he is not experiencing any pain in his problematic ankle, so Pekovic will just need to return to game shape before he can get back on the court.

Pekovic (ankle) was considered doubtful before tip, but wasn't able to go. He has missed the last 30 games with the ankle complaint.

The Wolves play again on Monday and Pekovic will be questionable to play in that contest as well. When he does return, it will likely take a few games at least to get back into game shape, which will severely limit his court time. Once back to full health, Pekovic isn't a great fantasy option, contributing only in the points and rebounds categories, averaging 11.9 points and 8.1 rebounds this season on a pedestrian 42 percent shooting. As a center that blocks just 0.2 shots a game, Pekovic' usefulness in fantasy leagues has a definite ceiling.

Pekovic (ankle) is considered doubtful to play against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Pekovic isn't experiencing any pain in his ankle but needs to get his conditioning in order before he takes the court. While it's still possible that he makes a comeback Saturday, a return sometime next week seems more likely.

Pekovic (ankle) doesn't have any pain in his right ankle anymore, and he's simply getting his conditioning up before returning to game action, the Star Tribune reports.

Pekovic was said to be headed to the D-League for a couple rehab games, but coach Flip Saunders has said the timing may not allow that since the D-League is hosting a showcase that makes it difficult to send Pekovic down. Even when Pekovic returns, there's a strong possibility he won't be put in the starting lineup. Saunders talked about limiting Pek's minutes before the season, and with Gorgui Dieng's development seemingly more important than starting a veteran who needs his minutes limited just to stay healthy, Pekovic could be stuck in a limited bench role when he returns. The one thing that could force the Timberwolves to start Pekovic is if they're desperate to move his ball-and-chain of a contract. It seems unlikely Pekovic would return on their current road trip, putting his current target return date as next Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.

Pekovic (ankle) has been upgraded to doubtful, but it is "still gonna be a while" before he returns to game action, according to coach Flip Saunders, T-Wolves announcer Alan Horton reports.

Saunders said that all the doubtful tag means is that Pekovic is practicing, but still out. Last weekend, Saunders intimated that Pekovic could return this week, but that looks doubtful given the coach's comments Tuesday. Consider him week-to-week, not day-to-day, and look for Gorgui Dieng to continue to start at center for now.

Pekovic (ankle) was a full participant in Monday's practice, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Pekovic last played on Nov. 15 and has spent the last two months recovering from an ankle injury. Coach Flip Saunders said over the weekend that both Pekovic and Kevin Martin (wrist) could return this week, but he did not offer anything definitive. Saunders has also noted on multiple occasions that Pekovic could spend time in the D-League before returning, so if that is indeed the case, an assignment should come this week.

Pekovic (ankle) will resume light contact this week, as his MRI results came back clean, Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Pekovic will continue to gradually increase his contact, and may even see some work in the D-League to get him up to game speed before returning to NBA action. He'll compete for minutes with Gorgui Dieng upon his return to the court.

Pekovic (ankle) is set to undergo an MRI this week and, if cleared, could begin light contact drills, Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press reports.

Pekovic hasn't played since mid-November and remains without a firm return timetable. He began participating in shooting drills and running on an anti-gravity treadmill last week, and if the MRI comes back clean, he could return to the practice court within the next few days. However, he'll likely require considerable time to work his way back into game shape, and coach Flip Saunders previously stated that the team plans to assign Pekovic to the D-League once he's ready for full contact.

Pekovic (ankle) has started shooting drills but won't be cleared to run until he gets a MRI in Minnesota after the team's current road trip, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

It sounds like Pekovic is getting close to be able to practice. However, head coach Flip Saunders said Pekovic will play in the D-League before returning to the Timberwolves roster. It sounds like Pekovic could return in late January if all goes well.

Pekovic has started running on an anti-gravity treadmill, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Head coach Flip Saunders said Pekovic will play in the D-League before returning to the Timberwolves roster.

The device allows Pekovic to run without bearing weight on his ankle. He's finally making some progress, but it sounds like he's still weeks away from returning.
