Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 3 Days
Tiago Splitter will not play against the Wolves on Wednesday due to tightness in his left calf.
He had some problems with his calf last season, but that was to his right one. Splitter hasn't missed a game yet, but he's suffered an ankle injury back on Nov. 25. The Spurs will likely use Boris Diaw a little more tonight while Jeff Ayres should get a few extra minutes. Splitter should be considered questionable for Saturday against the Pacers.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 9 Days
Tiago Splitter returned from an ankle injury on Wednesday and had six points, nine boards and one steal in 25 minutes against the Thunder.
He suffered a sprained ankle on Monday and was available to play in that game, but the Spurs were up big against the Pelicans. The team called him probable for Wednesday's game on Tuesday, so there's no need to worry about this injury. He serves as a low-upside center in standard leagues.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 10 Days
Tiago Splitter (ankle) will be in the starting lineup vs. the Thunder on Wednesday.
His status was never truly in doubt, as he had a 'mild' sprain and was held out for the end of Monday's game as a precaution. The red-hot Spurs are looking for their 12th consecutive victory.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 11 Days
Tiago Splitter was available to return to Monday's game against the Pelicans after spraining his right ankle, but was not needed in the Spurs' 112-93 blowout win.
We'll mark him sidelined in case the ankle swells up overnight, but this should be put in the 'minor' category for owners and it's also worth noting that Splitter has picked it up lately. He had 11 points, six boards and a block in just 13 minutes, and appears to have shaken off the early season slump.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 11 Days
Tiago Splitter suffered an apparent right ankle sprain in the first half on Monday's game against the Pelicans.
He went to the locker room after stepping on Anthony Davis' foot. Splitter was playing well on defense and had a line of 11 points, six boards and a block in 13 minutes before going down. Tim Duncan and Boris Diaw will have to man the paint while Splitter is out.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 14 Days
Tiago Splitter scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting with seven rebounds and a block in 26 minutes on Friday against the Grizzlies.
Splitter was one of the best players on the floor tonight and he's starting to pick up the pace a little bit. He has been a mid-to-late round value over the past two weeks and his season-long value has been depressed by some numbers that were bound to come around. We're not saying he's in the clear with consistency issues, but he's well worth an add if you need a center.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 21 Days
Tiago Splitter had yet another quiet night with just six points, five rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes in Friday's win over the Jazz.
Splitter is playing like a deep league guy right now and he's certainly on the lower end of normal productivity levels, so there's a decent chance he improves, but unless your format gives centers an extra boost owners can certainly do better in standard formats.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 23 Days
Tiago Splitter started at center again and had 12 points, nine rebounds, two steals and a block in an easy win over the Wizards.
He had 11 points, six boards and a block on Monday and is starting to come on. But he plays for Gregg Popovich, meaning a random benching or change is role is probably in order now that he's starting to produce again. To play with Splitter in fantasy is to play with fire.
Tiago Splitter PF/C SA 1 Month
Tiago Splitter, who failed to score on Saturday, came off the bench on Wednesday and had nine points and seven rebounds in just 11 minutes.
Gregg Popovich decided to start Boris Diaw over Splitter tonight, but we doubt the move is permanent. Splitter should still have some fantasy value, so just bench him if you have other options in the middle.
