DeMarcus Cousins has been named to the initial 19-man Men's National Team training camp roster.

Cousins will battle Andre Drummond for the center spot on the Team USA roster. While Drummond is a superior rebounder, Cousins trumps Drummond on the offensive end. It'll be interesting to see which big man wins out the final spot on the 12-man roster. It's also possible that neither player makes the roster as other big men Kevin Love, and Anthony Davis could hold down the center position as well.

The Kings are reportedly scouring the market for a stretch-four, or shot-blocker to come play alongside DeMarcus Cousins.

The Kings are pretty bare at the center/power forward position with Jason Thompson, and Reggie Evans set as the only backups, so this report isn't exactly shocking. There are a handful of low-end stretch-fours and rim-protectors available via free agency, but the Kings could also be looking to acquire an asset via trade. Stay tuned.

DeMarcus Cousins stated in a recent interview that he has made a pitch to Rudy Gay to stay with the Kings.

"We've talked, and he knows that I want him back," said Cousins. "I need him on this ride. At the end of the day, it's a decision he has to make for him and his family. We can only hope for the best. If he goes another way, I'll wish him the best, but hopefully he'll be in a Sacramento Kings uniform." Cousins also stated that his goal for next season is to make the playoffs: "We shouldn't be worried about who's getting paid this year or whatever the case may be, who's putting up numbers, whatever. We all should be worried about making the playoffs and winning as a team."

DeMarcus Cousins is planning to visit with the Kings' summer league team in Las Vegas.

After the Kings locked him up with a four-year, $62 million deal in September 2013, Cousins looks to be embracing the role as a team leader. He's also talked to Rudy Gay about bringing him back and has been in the news for the right reasons lately. He had a strong 2013-14 and has a chance to be the best center in fantasy leagues next season.

DeMarcus Cousins wants to help Team USA defend its title at this summer's FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain.

Cousins is part of Team USA's 28-player pool that will take part in next month's training camp and will be battling players alongside Andre Drummond, Dwight Howard, and Tyson Chandler for a roster spot. The 23-year-old is coming off a career year in which he averaged 22.2 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game and considers making the World Cup roster as one of his main goals this summer. "It would be fantastic for me to be part of the team that will defend the world title in Spain. It's one of my main goals this year. I can bring athleticism in the paint, rebounds and high energy. I am a competitor and I want to help the team keep winning titles. One of my dreams is to win gold medals with my country." Cousins said.

The Kings have made calls about acquiring Kevin Love, but their offers will not include DeMarcus Cousins.

Yes, we know this isn't much of an update -- just like most Love developments. The Kings reportedly will trade anything else to get Love, which includes their eighth pick in the draft. There are some additional reports that the Kings are one of the favorites, and their interest in trading for Love without a guaranteed extension helps their case. Of course, nothing is imminent.

The Kings reportedly put their No. 8 draft pick on the trade block "immediately" after Tuesday night's draft lottery.

According to NBA.com's Scott Howard-Cooper, "[The Kings] are clearly looking to add at least one impact veteran in an attempt to push into the playoff conversation next season." It's unclear what exactly Sacramento might be targeting, be it a specific player, position or skill-set, but their aggressive approach is quickly becoming the norm for GM Pete D'Alessandro and owner Vivek Randive.

The city of Sacramento has finalized an agreement for a downtown arena for the Sacramento Kings.

The Sacramento City Council is scheduled to vote on the deal May 20. The arena is schedule to open for the 2016-17 season, as the NBA told the city that it must open the arena by 2017 or risk losing their team.

The Kings are looking to add a "defensive-minded" frontcourt player to pair with DeMarcus Cousins.

When asked whether he'd prefer to have Cousins play power forward or center, Kings GM Pete D'Alessandro replied, "It's something I've honestly been considering since the day I got here. It is amazing that a big man can be so versatile and we're really fortunate that we can even have this discussion." Cousins had a career year this past season, posting averages of 22.7 points and 11.7 rebounds while shooting 49.6 percent from the field. It is interesting that after such a stellar season playing center, the Kings may be looking to move him back to power forward, but they are likely hoping Cousins' versatility will make for an easy transition.

DeMarcus Cousins will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Suns.

He picked up his 16th foul on Sunday night and the league will not rescind that infraction. Cousins was outstanding this season and averaged 22.7 points, 11.7 boards, 2.9 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.5 steals on 49.6 percent from the field. He'll be a top-20 pick in fantasy drafts next season. As for Wednesday, Reggie Evans and Jason Thompson figure to get more run, but they're not particularly strong plays on a 15-game night.
