With left hip and ankle injuries in tow, Cousins hasn't fit in any activity since Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies. If he takes a seat, as expected, Carl Landry could earn another start. However, Landry (18 minutes), Reggie Evans (21), and Ryan Hollins (12) split the available minutes in Cousins' absence Friday.

Cousins should be questionable for Sunday's game against Portland after being unable to practice Saturday. If he's ultimately confined to the bench yet again, expect Carl Landry to see another stint in the starting lineup.

Cousins took a pounding during Wednesday's win over the Grizzlies and is now nursing minor injuries to both his left hip and ankle. As a result, the big man will rest for Friday's game versus the Spurs, which should allow some combination of Jason Thompson, Reggie Evans and Carl Landry to fill-in at center for Sacramento. At the moment, it's unclear whether Cousins will be back in action Sunday against the Blazers.

With Cousins likely to miss a game for the first time since Jan. 17, the Kings may need heavy minutes from the likes of Jason Thompson and Reggie Evans. Other candidates to benefit include Ryan Hollins and Carl Landry, the two of whom combined for just three minutes in Wednesday's surprising win over the Grizzlies. Rudy Gay will likely take a ton of shots in Friday's game, despite drawing a tough matchup with a team that has Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green on the wing. As for Cousins, the superstar big man is apparently dealing with a bruised hip, in addition to the sprained ankle that was previously reported.

Cousins has a left ankle injury that kept him out of practice Thursday, and coach George Karl said it's unclear if Cousins will be available to play against the Spurs on Friday, News10 reports.

This is the first announcement of the injury, but it's likely just a sprain. Regardless of Cousins' ankle issue, there's an outside chance he could receive a suspension if the league decides to punish him for kicking a chair on the team's bench in Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies. More news should come out over the next day regarding both issues.

Cousins finished with 16 points (6-13 FG, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block in 24 minutes against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Cousins was in foul trouble which led to the low minutes total. He might've been looking at a triple-double had he been able to stay on the floor. Cousins and the Kings will take on the Spurs on Friday.

He dominated the smaller Buck frontcourt players and has 13 assists in his last two games. It may be interesting to see what potential coach George Karl could do with a player like Cousins.

Cousins played 35 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Bulls, finishing with 15 points (5-15 FG, 5-10 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and a blocked shot.Cousins scored less than 20 points and recorded less than 10 rebounds for the first time in six games, so it was somewhat of a disappointing performance for him. He did make up for it with the eight assists though, as he's only had more than that once this season. Expect him to get much closer to his season averages of 23.6 points and 12.3 rebounds in Wednesday's game, as he'll have a much better matchup against the Bucks.
