DeMarcus Cousins filled the stat sheet in an overtime win against the Jazz on Saturday with 28 points, seven boards, three assists, two steals and three blocks in 27 minutes.
He was quiet in the first half with just five points, but then he went in attack mode with two quick baskets to start the second half and didn't let up. Cousins shot 10-of-15 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line to help him clear the 20-point plateau for the fourth consecutive game. As long as he's not making mental mistakes, he has some of the serious upside as an elite fantasy center.

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) scored 20 points on 6-of-17 shooting (8-of-12 FTs) with 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers in the Kings' loss to the Lakers on Friday.
Cousins is doing 2-3 things per game that are simply outstanding, and he has kept the drama to a dull roar so far this season. He has bought into the coaching staff and ownership and he's only going to improve from here. We'll have a pretty good idea if any of that stands to change and we'll pass along that sentiment if we hear about it, but we're not hearing any of that stuff these days.

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) was "fine" during Thursday's practice and coach Mike Malone fully expects him to play on Friday.
"He'll be good tomorrow," Malone said. DMC's one-game absence should quickly become a speck in the rear-view mirror, and he has a favorable matchup against a Lakers' frontcourt which is allowing opposing centers to score 18.4 points and grab 15.1 rebounds per game this year.

DeMarcus Cousins was in a joking mood after Tuesday's tough loss to the Thunder, saying that he was going to shut it down for the season with his ankle injury so that he could then make a "comeback commercial."
When asked by Sean Cunningham about his availability for Friday, Cousins sarcastically said "Probably not. I think I'll be out rest of the season and I can get a comeback commercial." Derrick Rose probably isn't laughing, but given the fact that Cousins' DNP Tuesday was a big surprise, we're guessing the injury isn't too serious. And with the available rest on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, we're also guessing Boogie will be out there against the Lakers, and possibly Kobe Bryant, on Friday.

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) will not play on Tuesday night against the Thunder.
This comes out of nowhere and there were no reports of any ankle sprain. Cousins only played 21 minutes on Sunday, but foul trouble was the culprit. He should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Lakers. Chuck Hayes and Hamady Ndiaye might get some more minutes to help while Jason Thompson could shift to some center.

DeMarcus Cousins only played 21 minutes due to foul trouble vs. the Warriors, but he still finished with 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Fouls are a background concern for DMC, whose career-highs in points (21.6), steals (1.6) and blocks (1.3) are accompanied by a career-high 4.3 fouls per game. Two of his buckets tonight came in crunch time, both temporarily tying the game, and it's nice to see him salvage a foul-plagued game with efficient play.

Sleep Train Arena had a power outage just before Sunday's tip of the Warriors and Kings game.
The staff is working on it and they were able to get the lights back on. However, there is no PA system, so the game will have an old-school feel. In case you were wondering why the game hasn't started yet, this is why.

DeMarcus Cousins scored 25 points on 11-of-19 shooting with nine rebounds, six assists and three blocks in the Kings' overtime loss to the Clippers on Friday.
Cousins' issues are well-known but he is starting to do about 3-5 things in each game that are really special, typically in the area of passing or by scoring in a way you didn't think was possible for a man of his size. There are going to be bumps along the way, but he's progressing nicely under new Kings ownership.

DeMarcus Cousins flirted with a triple-double for the second straight game on Sunday, scoring 17 points with eight rebounds and seven assists.
This makes two straight games with seven dimes for DMC, whose increased playmaking is an encouraging development for fantasy owners even if it proves to be unsustainable. He averaged a career-high 2.7 dimes last year but has dipped to 2.0 per game in 2013-14.
