Eric Bledsoe said the Suns are using rules against him in an interview with FOX Birmingham.

It's a surprise that we're almost in August and Bledsoe hasn't come to terms or even signed an offer sheet with another team. While there isn't much of a body of work for Bledsoe, he still looks like a max-type guy based on the offers to Chandler Parsons and Gordon Hayward. There should be some progress in the next couple days or so.

The Phoenix Suns expect restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe to be part of the team when the 2014-15 season begins.

While the Suns haven't been able to find middle ground with Bledsoe and his representatives, the 24-year-old hasn't signed an offer sheet with another team either. Bledsoe could ultimately decide to accept his $3.7 million qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent after the 2014-15 season, but the Suns are envisioning a three-headed backcourt monster of Isaiah Thomas, Goran Dragic, and Bledsoe that would make fantasy owners salivate. "We expect Goran and Eric and Isaiah to be pushing the ball up the court like they did last year," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said.

Bledsoe is seeking a 5-year $80 million max deal from the Suns, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

Broussard also reports that the Suns offered Bledsoe a 4-year, $48 million deal. The two sides are very far apart in negotiations and it appears a strong offer sheet for the restricted free agent may be enough to steal him away from Phoenix. The team recently signed Isaiah Thomas to a long-term deal, so a Bledsoe departure would not come as a shock.

Eric Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns are still far apart in contract talks, according to sources close to the situation.

While the Suns' promise to match any offers on the 24-year-old has scared some teams off, there is growing belief that Phoenix may move on from Bledsoe after acquiring Isaiah Thomas. Bledsoe is reportedly looking for a max contract after averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game during the 2013-14 season and will be one of the better fantasy point guards options in 2014-15 regardless of where he lands.

The Bucks are reportedly going after restricted free agents Eric Bledsoe, and Greivis Vasquez.

The Bucks would likely need to overpay Bledsoe/Vasquez to join their team, and it seems pretty unlikely they would be able to land Bledsoe. Free agents have historically been resistant towards coming to Milwaukee, and with the group of players they currently have on their roster, it isn't exactly an enticing organization to come to for players looking to win-now. With the Raptors a bit more strapped from a financial standpoint, the Bucks could offer a "poison pill" type deal to pry away Vasquez.

Restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe is in the early stages of contract talks.

He has the same agent as LeBron James, so that is probably a higher priority for Rich Paul. Bledsoe may get a max offer and the Suns are expected to match. He only had one year to show what he can do and he was able to exceed most expectations. Bledsoe will be an early target in fantasy drafts next year.

The Bucks are pitching an offer sheet to restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe.

The Bucks have some room to offer Bledsoe a big deal, but the Suns have the second-most cap space in the NBA right now. The 24-year-old guard was superb last season and will have a chance to make the All-Star team on whatever team he signs with. The Suns are expected to match any offer.

The Lakers are interested in meeting with restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe.

The Suns may not want to pay the market price for Bledsoe and the Lakers probably look at that possibility with wide eyes and an open wallet. The report included confirmation of our earlier report that the Lakers are interested in Isaiah Thomas.

The Suns officially extended their qualifying offer to Eric Bledsoe on Friday.

This is just a formality in the process of making Bledsoe a restricted free agent. The Suns can now match any offer that Bledsoe receives on the open market. Bledsoe averaged career-highs last season with 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 32.9 minutes while also shooting a career-best 47.7 percent from the field. Obviously he is going to be a highly sought after target once the big names of LeBron and Carmelo are off the board during free agency this summer.

The Sacramento Kings have reportedly made a trade offer to the Phoenix Suns for restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe.

The Kings' offer reportedly consisted of Isaiah Thomas and the No. 8 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, but the Suns seem to be looking for more of a return or else we'd be talking about the fantasy ramifications of Bledsoe joining the Kings. Phoenix is hoping to present Bledsoe with a market-value contract in early July and avoid having him sign an offer sheet with another team that the Suns would then have to match. This situation will play itself out as the summer progresses, but the one thing that is clear right now is that Bledsoe isn't headed to Sacramento (for now).
