Bledsoe has agreed to a five-year, $70 million contract with the Suns, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Bledsoe was previously in a stalemate with Phoenix all summer, after turning down a four-year, $48 million offer sheet from the Suns in July. However, with the deadline for Bledsoe to sign a qualifying offer with the Suns quickly approaching, both parties renewed negotiations over the weekend and have now come to agreement on a lucrative contract to keep the 24-year-old in Phoenix long-term. With Bledsoe's future sorted out, the dynamic playmaker will return to partner fellow guard Goran Dragic in the Suns' starting backcourt this season. Upon being traded away from the Clippers and point guard Chris Paul's shadow last season, Bledsoe went on to flourish under new Suns' coach Jeff Hornacek, averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 32.9 minutes across a 43-game season shortened by knee surgery.

Bledsoe has renewed contract talks with the Suns over recent days, The Arizona Republic reports.

Bledsoe has been a restricted free agent since July 1, but with the Suns unwilling to meet his request for a max-level contract, the two parties have been in a lengthy stalemate. The 24-year-old Bledsoe rejected the Suns' four-year, $48 million offer sheet back in July, but no other team has offered him an improved contract since then. As a result, Bledsoe appears poised to ink a one-year, $3.7 million qualifying offer by the Oct. 1 deadline for him to do so. That would make Bledsoe and unrestricted free agent next summer, when he would figure to draw significant interest on the open marked. Despite knee surgery and a shin bruise limiting Bledsoe to just 43 games (40 starts) last season, the dynamic combo guard averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in 32.9 minutes for Phoenix. In advance of this season, should Bledsoe remain with the Suns, he should continue to start next to Goran Dragic in Phoenix's backcourt, with offseason signing Isaiah Thomas offering fantastic production as the team's sixth man.

Minnesota is willing to offer Bledsoe a four-year, $63 million maximum level contract but will need to complete a sign-and-trade deal in order to facilitate a deal, ESPN reports.

The Suns and Bledsoe haven't been able to come to terms on a new contract with Bledsoe likely to sign a one-year, $3.7 million qualifying offer so he can become a free agent next year. It's an odd move for Minnesota who already has Ricky Rubio at point guard and could signal the team isn't set on signing Rubio to the max deal he wants this summer. The complications of a sign-and-trade deal involving the two teams make this deal seem unlikely since the Suns seem unlikely to want Rubio back in a deal.

The Suns' relationship with restricted FA Eric Bledsoe is "on the verge of [being] irreparable," according to Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com.

Bledsoe said last week that the Suns were using the rules of restricted free agency against him by scaring off other teams and lowering his market value. Bledsoe wants a max five-year contract but the Suns haven't offered him more than $48 million over four years, and their ability to match any offer sheet has dissuaded other teams from tying up their finances with a lucrative offer sheet. This may still have a happy ending, and ultimately the Suns can keep him whether or not he wants to stay in Phoenix.

Eric Bledsoe said the Suns are using rules against him in an interview with FOX Birmingham.

It's a surprise that we're almost in August and Bledsoe hasn't come to terms or even signed an offer sheet with another team. While there isn't much of a body of work for Bledsoe, he still looks like a max-type guy based on the offers to Chandler Parsons and Gordon Hayward. There should be some progress in the next couple days or so.

The Phoenix Suns expect restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe to be part of the team when the 2014-15 season begins.

While the Suns haven't been able to find middle ground with Bledsoe and his representatives, the 24-year-old hasn't signed an offer sheet with another team either. Bledsoe could ultimately decide to accept his $3.7 million qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent after the 2014-15 season, but the Suns are envisioning a three-headed backcourt monster of Isaiah Thomas, Goran Dragic, and Bledsoe that would make fantasy owners salivate. "We expect Goran and Eric and Isaiah to be pushing the ball up the court like they did last year," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said.

Bledsoe is seeking a 5-year $80 million max deal from the Suns, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN.

Broussard also reports that the Suns offered Bledsoe a 4-year, $48 million deal. The two sides are very far apart in negotiations and it appears a strong offer sheet for the restricted free agent may be enough to steal him away from Phoenix. The team recently signed Isaiah Thomas to a long-term deal, so a Bledsoe departure would not come as a shock.

Eric Bledsoe and the Phoenix Suns are still far apart in contract talks, according to sources close to the situation.

While the Suns' promise to match any offers on the 24-year-old has scared some teams off, there is growing belief that Phoenix may move on from Bledsoe after acquiring Isaiah Thomas. Bledsoe is reportedly looking for a max contract after averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game during the 2013-14 season and will be one of the better fantasy point guards options in 2014-15 regardless of where he lands.

The Bucks are reportedly going after restricted free agents Eric Bledsoe, and Greivis Vasquez.

The Bucks would likely need to overpay Bledsoe/Vasquez to join their team, and it seems pretty unlikely they would be able to land Bledsoe. Free agents have historically been resistant towards coming to Milwaukee, and with the group of players they currently have on their roster, it isn't exactly an enticing organization to come to for players looking to win-now. With the Raptors a bit more strapped from a financial standpoint, the Bucks could offer a "poison pill" type deal to pry away Vasquez.
