Young was officially traded to the Wolves on Saturday, Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press reports.

Young will join Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett in Minnesota as part of a three-team deal that lands Kevin Love in Cleveland. In losing Young, the Sixers take another step back but acquire assets for the future (Alexey Shved, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and a future first-rounder). Young will immediately step in as a starting forward for Minnesota - he could play small or power forward - after a strong individual 2014-15 campaign in which he averaged a career-high 17.9 points to go with 6.0 boards and 2.3 assists.

Young will be traded to Minnesota as part of the Cavaliers-Wolves trade involving Kevin Love, the Philadelphia Enquirer reports.

Young will to head to the Timberwolves as part of a three-team deal, with the Sixers set to land former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett in return. The terms from all sides have yet to be made official, but the key pieces seem to be locked in. Young will likely see heavy minutes in Minnesota as the primary replacement for Kevin Love. The 26-year-old Young averaged a career-high 17.9 points per game in his 2013-14 season, and although he won't be relied upon as heavily as a scorer for the Wolves, his rebounding and shot-blocking ability still make him a reliable fantasy option.

The Timberwolves reportedly view Thaddeus Young as a potential Kevin Love replacement.

The Wolves are reportedly looking into acquiring Young from the 76ers either through a separate transaction, or as part of an expanded Love trade. However, Young still has two years remaining on his current contract, and it's unclear as to whether Philadelphia is willing to part ways with Young in any deal.

General manager Sam Hinkie anticipates Thaddeus Young will remain with the 76ers.

If Young cares about winning at all, he's probably not very happy. Despite how the team was tanking ever since they traded Jrue Holiday in the 2013 draft, they still didn't come away with a first-round player on Thursday who will play on opening night. Young has a player option for the 2015-16 season and one would think he'd opt out. He should have terrific fantasy value with very little help around him.

The 76ers have reportedly inquired about trading for the Cavaliers' No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, with Thaddeus Young potentially part of a theoretical deal.

The Sixers hold picks Nos. 3 and 10 in the draft. They're reportedly unwilling to trade both selections, but would "possibly" give up the No. 3 pick along with Young, who wasn't happy about Philadelphia's transparent tanking of the 2013-14 season. By trading Young this season, to the Cavaliers or elsewhere, Philly could get substantial value for him before potentially losing him in free agency next summer. The draft will be held on June 26, so the Cavs have a few more weeks to weigh offers for the coveted No. 1 pick.

Thaddeus Young said it's "a possibility" that he'll ask management to trade him this summer.

Young has repeatedly said all he wants to do is win, and the Sixers are at least two years away from doing that. The 25-year-old is under contract for $9.1 million next season and then has a player option for $9.7 million in 2015-16. Given those reasonable cap hits and Young's unique ability to score without plays called for him, he'd attract plenty of attention on the trade market. Thadd averaged career-highs in points (17.9), assists (2.3), steals (2.1) and 3-pointers (1.1) this season.

Thaddeus Young could play small forward next season, according to coach Brett Brown.

It would make a lot of sense. The Sixers were torched on interior defense and they certainly need more size in the paint. Young has plenty of experience at small forward and would have a seamless transition back to his old role. His 2.11 steals per game ranked third in the NBA and he is the first forward to average over 2.0 per game in a season since 2007-08.

Thaddeus Young had 20 points, nine rebounds and two more steals in Wednesday's season finale win over the Heat.

The Sixers somehow beat the Heat twice this season, although it's not fair to call the Miami team that took the court tonight the Heat. Henry Sims, MCW, James Anderson, Brandon Davies and Caspar Ware all scored in double figures in the meaningless game. Young had a great season and his steals and threes, along with his strong offense and rebounding, were pleasant surprises this season.

Thaddeus Young is shooting a career-best 83-of-258 from downtown this season, and he credits coach Brett Brown for giving him the freedom to take 3-pointers.

"[Former 76ers coach] Doug Collins didn't want me shooting a lot of 3s," Young said. "He told me actually, 'Treat the 3-point line like a barbed-wire fence.'" Young's 32.1 percent accuracy isn't great but it has the side benefit of spacing the court and allowing him more opportunities to drive the ball. You won't hear fantasy owners complaining since his sudden production in a new category have helped Thad rack up top-30 value on the season.

Thaddeus Young scored 23 points during Monday's 103-95 loss to the Hawks, making a career-high five 3-pointers with three boards, four assists, three blocks and four steals.

He shot 7-of-10 from the field and made all four shots from deep for a stellar eight-category line. The Sixers couldn't get a winning streak going following Saturday's win, but at least they played a close game. Young is a must-start player and his offense has really turned the corner in his seventh season.
