Lou Williams G TOR 19 Days

Williams failed to score a point, missing all five of his field goal attempts, in 15 minutes off the bench Sunday.

He just couldn't make anything happen against the Spurs' defense, as the disciplined world champs refused to bail him out with the fouls Williams typically draws. The Raptors' sixth man has scored in double digits in 17 of 20 games in 2015, so look for him to bounce back on Wednesday against the Wizards.

Even with DeMar DeRozan back in the lineup, Sweet Lou didn't see a big change in his role as the Raptors' designated sniper off the bench. Expect Williams to continue putting up a good scoring average, with the occasional steal and three, going forward.

Williams scored 15 points (4-15 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT) with five assists and four rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench Thursday.

He couldn't buy a three-pointer in this one, but Williams was still able to get to the free throw line and put up a decent point total. DeMar DeRozan is expected to return from his groin injury next week, which should cut into Williams' minutes a little, but he'll still be the Raptors' primary weapon off the bench.

Williams had a huge game of the bench on Sunday to help his team get a win. He finished with 31 points (11-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-9 FT), five rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 34 minutes.

Williams is coming off of a pair of underwhelming games, but he was feeling himself tonight to produce one of his bigger games this season. With DeMar Derozan missing time Toronto will need other players to step up in his absence. Williams will get all the minutes he can handle, and while his shot won't always hit like tonight, he is still producing solid value for a waiver grab in most leagues.

Williams was likely licking his chops against the defensively challenged Knicks. He has averaged 16.0 points in his last five games, but doesn't offer much for fantasy owners beyond points, 3-pointers, and free throw percentage.
