Russell Westbrook, as expected, will not play on Tuesday night.

He sat out today's shootaround and iced his knees, giving the indication that he would not play. This does mean that he's likely to go on Wednesday against the Clippers, but that's not guaranteed.

Russell Westbrook's availability vs. the Kings is uncertain, as the Thunder will either rest him on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Westbrook iced his knee while his teammates did some light shooting after a film session on Tuesday morning, so an educated guess has him sitting out Tuesday and returning Wednesday vs. the Clippers. Anyone who owns Westbrook or Reggie Jackson should check back closer to tip-off for updates.

Russell Westbrook made 12-of-26 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs to score 33 points on Sunday, with eight assists and two blocks, but it wasn't enough to steal a road win in Phoenix.

Westbrook has played brilliantly of late, and the only downside for fantasy owners is that he's due to miss two more games before the regular season ends. With back-to-back games off limits, owners must plan to be without him for a game on April 8/9 and April 13/14.

Russell Westbrook will sit out Friday's game against the Rockets for rest purposes.

Westbrook certainly looked 100 percent as he dominated Thursday's game against the Spurs, making one ridiculously explosive play after another. And the Thunder are also just three games back of the West's No. 1 seed. But they'll still stick to their plan of not letting Westbrook and his allegedly tender knee play on back-to-backs, giving Reggie Jackson monster upside Friday night. R-Jax is averaging 14.0 points, 6.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 3-pointers a night in his last three starts. Westbrook will be back in the starting lineup Sunday.

Russell Westbrook was his freakishly athletic self on Thursday vs. the Spurs, scoring 27 points with one board, six assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

As a reminder, he's going to sit out on Friday night against the Rockets. It seemed pretty obvious coach Scott Brooks would sit Westbrook tomorrow because his team has been off since Sunday. Unfortunately for Westbrook's fantasy owners, the star point guard will sit out at least three more games with Friday's game vs. the Rockets, one game on Apr. 8-9 and another one on Apr. 13-14. Considering it's so late in the season, missing that many games makes him a potential cut candidate.

Russell Westbrook will play vs. the Spurs on Thursday, which means that he'll sit out Friday's road game in Houston.

The Thunder have two more back-to-back sets on their schedule so this pattern of DNPs will recur a few more times before the playoffs, to the chagrin of Westbrook's fantasy owners.

Thunder coach Scott Brooks said that it's "safe to assume" Russell Westbrook (knee) will sit out either Thursday or Friday.

The Thunder play at home vs. the Spurs before heading to Houston for Friday's game, and it's worth noting that in OKC's past three back-to-back sets Westbrook missed the first game. Hopefully Brooks won't wait until tip-off on Thursday to reveal which game Westbrook will sit out.

Russell Westbrook logged 25 minutes during Sunday's 116-96 win over the Jazz, scoring 19 points with five boards, four assists and two turnovers.

His turnovers have been a serious problem this month, averaging 4.7 per game to lead the NBA, but he took care of the ball. In other news, Westbrook's minutes figure to take a dip below 30 per game the rest of the way, but he's still obviously a must-start option for his high usage rate. The bad news is that the Thunder only have three games this week and two of them are in a back-to-back set, so Westbrook owners will likely just get two games out of him this week.

Russell Westbrook (knee) has accepted his recent playing-time restrictions because he's trying to "think about [his] health for the next couple years."

The Thunder are resting Westbrook as a precaution during back-to-back sets and he's being held to 32 minutes when he does play, which makes sense considering he's had three knee surgeries in the past year. It will be interesting to see whether the 25-year-old star's restrictions are eased up during the postseason, but even in 32 minutes per game he's one of the most productive PGs in the league.

Russell Westbrook played 33 minutes after a one-game absence against the Mavericks on Tuesday, scoring 23 points with seven boards, eight assists, three steals and two 3-pointers.

His minutes were clearly managed and he started off on the bench to start overtime. Westbrook did turn the ball over eight times tonight and had his fair share of bad shots, but he did look healthy. The Thunder won't have a back-to-back set until Apr. 3 and 4, so he should be good to go for Friday and Sunday.
