Russell Westbrook (illness) will play against the Pelicans.
He'll start and there was never really much doubt for a guy that has been a warrior throughout his career. Westbrook should be in all lineups and will look to slow down a red-hot Jrue Holiday. Hopefully, Scott Brooks still plays Reggie Jackson a little more with a little less Derek Fisher.

Russell Westbrook (illness) missed Friday morning's shootaround and is a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Westbrook is a warrior and he came back very early from his knee surgery earlier in the year, so he is likely a little closer to probable than doubtful for this game. The Thunder are coming off a loss at Portland and certainly don't want to have a two-game losing streak. If Westbrook isn't at full strength, an improving Reggie Jackson would handle the duties at point guard. Jackson played 30.0 minutes per game over his last two outings.

Russell Westbrook hit 7-of-19 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal in Tuesday's exciting win over the Kings.
He's still a candidate to miss a random game here and there, but he's made a nice recovery from knee surgery and is once again a must-start in fantasy.

Russell Westbrook hit a game-winning 3-pointer in the corner with 0.1 seconds left during Friday's 113-112 overtime win vs. Golden State, scoring a season-high 34 points with one rebound, seven assists, five steals and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes.
His five steals were also a season high and his scoring high topped his previous best of 31 points against Golden State on Nov. 14. Interestingly, Westbrook is 2-of-21 in his career on game-tying or go-ahead shots in the final five seconds, and both of those makes have come against the Warriors. He bounced back nicely from his 2-of-16 stinker on Wednesday and his owners shouldn't have been too concerned since he was a slow starter last year, too.

Russell Westbrook returned from his rest on Wednesday and was horrible on the offense, shooting 2-of-16 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line for six points with three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two turnovers in 32 minutes.
This dud dropped him to 38.7 percent from the field and 69.7 percent from the line on the season. Westbrook is traditionally a slow starter and that may be compounded by recovering from knee surgery in the offseason. It won't happen right away, but one of the league's most athletic players should turn it around and get back to his ways of scoring in the mid-20s while leading point guards in rebounds.

Russell Westbrook (rest) is back in the starting lineup to face the Spurs on Wednesday.
He sat out on Sunday to get some rest. Westbrook hasn't played since Thursday night and should have some fresh legs in a big matchup against the red-hot Spurs. He has 24.6 points per game over his last four outings, shooting 48.6 percent from the field and looks to be ready to get on a roll. Get him in your lineup. Reggie Jackson will move back to the bench.

Russell Westbrook got shut down against the Clippers on Thursday, shooting 5-of-13 from the field for 12 points with six boards, five assists and one steal in 27 minutes.
He averaged 29 points per game in his previous three games before tonight, but tonight was easily his worst game all year. He had a season low in points and it was just the second time he failed to make a 3-pointer. Westbrook is down to just 41.3 percent from the field, but he's had cold spells in his career before. Interestingly, he also shot 41.3 percent from the field in November last season.

Russell Westbrook flirted with a triple-double in Monday's game against the Thunder with 30 points, 12 boards, seven assists and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
The 38 minutes and 12 boards were season highs, but this was the fifth time he's had five turnovers in his eight games this season. Westbrook was a big part of the win with a couple key assists and a huge 3-pointer in the fourth quarter to get the Thunder to a 7-3 record. He'll get a showdown with Chris Paul on Thursday night.

Russell Westbrook had his best game of the season on Thursday in a losing effort with 31 points, nine boards, five assists, three steals and one 3-pointer on 13-of-20 shooting.
It looked as if he had hit a game-winning, 29-foot jumper, but the Warriors struck back with an Andre Iguodala dagger. This was the first game in which Westbrook shot over 50 percent from the field and it was a welcomed sight considering he entered tonight making just 34.8 percent of his field goals. He's one of the most exciting players in the NBA and has first-round fantasy value as soon as he shakes off the rust.
