Ben Wallace said that he's "not retired" and there is a "good chance" he'll be playing again.

Wallace didn't specify much beyond that, but he did say that "Sheed is playing a nice role, helping out with those guys, cheering on his teammates," so it sounds like Wallace may look to latch on with a team that may be interested in his services.

Ben Wallace is hoping to return to the NBA next season.

Wallace said previously that he was going to retire, but he changed his mind and is looking for a new deal. However, Big Ben won't be back with the Pistons as Detroit's roster is set and the team needs to give playing time to the young big men.

Greek team Panathinaikos is reportedly pursuing Ben Wallace.

Wallace is interested in returning to the Pistons for a 17th season, but Detroit's roster is full and the team would have to make a trade in order to sign Big Ben. It's hard to envision Wallace heading overseas for what will presumably be the final season of his career.

Unrestricted FA Ben Wallace wants to return for a 17th NBA season.

Wallace previously said that he'd either return to the Pistons or retire, but Detroit's roster is full and the club would have to make a trade to bring back Wallace. The Detroit News speculates that Charlie Villanueva or Austin Daye would have to be traded for Wallace to be re-signed, but we can't imagine there is much of a trade market for Villanueva and his gruesome contract. As for Daye, he's certainly been underwhelming to date, but he'll be eligible for free agency next season so some team could choose to take a flier.

Ben Wallace said that he is "50-50" about returning to the Pistons or retiring this summer.

Big Ben would be little more than a mentor for the Pistons' young centers next season, added to which Detroit doesn't have any available roster spots and would need to waive someone to sign Wallace.

There is a "pretty good" chance that Ben Wallace returns for another NBA season according to beat writer Vincent Goodwill.

Wallace may do more to sell tickets and keep the peace in the locker room than anything else, but he should come cheap and for that reason it's a reasonable play by the Pistons.

Tayshaun Prince said that Ben Wallace is still on the fence about retirement.

"I think it is a situation where he is still thinking about it," Prince said. Wallace had previously said that this season would be his last, but he backed off of that stance before the year came to a conclusion and is still pondering whether or not he wants to continue playing.
