The Clippers have looked into re-signing veteran F Bobby Simmons.

"We've been talking," said Simmons' agent, Mark Bartelstein. "There is interest, but no decision has been made." The former Most Improved Player will likely be offered a minimum deal and a role deep on the bench, regardless of where he lands.

Unrestricted free agent Bobby Simmons is not expected back with the Clippers.

Simmons will be 32 in June and his best seasons are far behind him. He managed just 2.9 points per game in 28 appearances for the Clippers this season. They can do better for swingman depth.

Vinny Del Negro might change his starting lineup before Game 3.

Simmons started at small forward in place of Caron Butler (hand) in Game 2, but there is a possibility Nick Young draws the start in the third game of the series against Memphis. Simmons had just nine points in his start on Wednesday.

Bobby Simmons started in place of Caron Butler and hit 4-of-5 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points and one rebound in Wednesday's loss.

Simmons did some of his damage very late, with the game out of reach, but if he continues to start, he'll be worth a look in fantasy playoff leagues. Especially if the Clippers end up winning the series.

Bobby Simmons will start for the Clippers in Game 2 on Wednesday in place of injured Caron Butler.

Simmons could start the rest of the way for the Clippers, as Butler is out for the playoffs with a broken hand that will require surgery. Simmons, who has bounced around on 10-day contracts this year, will have to play well to keep the job, but if he's available in your playoff league, keep a close eye on him early tonight.

Bobby Simmons is a candidate to pick up minutes with Caron Butler (hand) out.

It's unclear who will start at small forward in Game 2, but the Clippers could turn to Simmons in order to keep their bench rotation intact. The problem is that Simmons has racked up three straight DNP-CDs, including Game 1 against the Grizzlies. Nick Young and Randy Foye are much better bets for a boost in production.

Clippers sign F Bobby Simmons.

Simmons played out two 10-day contracts and it looked as though L.A. would let him walk, but he's coming back for the duration of the season. His presence gives the Clippers some depth behind Caron Butler, but there's no fantasy value to be had here.

Bobby Simmons was not re-signed by the Clippers for the remainder of the season.

The acquisition of Nick Young made Simmons expendable and the Clippers chose not to re-sign him for the rest of the year.

Updating a previous report, the Clippers will take this week to evaluate whether or not to re-sign Bobby Simmons for the rest of the season.

The Clippers only have one vacant roster spot, and they don't want to lock up Simmons until they see how Nick Young affects their rotations. Simmons is averaging 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds with the Clippers this year, but is shooting just 33 percent from the field.

The Clippers will sign Bobby Simmons for the rest of the season, according to head coach Vinny Del Negro.

Simmons second 10-day contract is set to expire on Tuesday and he has shown enough to be kept on the roster for the remainder if the season. While his defensive presence is an added bonus for the Clippers rotation, he has no fantasy value.
