Zach Randolph has agreed to a two-year, $20 million extension with the Grizzlies.

He will also opt in to his $16.5 million player option for this year, which means he'll be with the Grizzlies for the next three seasons. While there was talk of a stalemate between Z-Bo and the Grizzlies, there was never really much of a doubt and it's nice to see a deal get done before free agency begins. He'll be his usual nightly double-double threat at the power forward spot, but doesn't do much for fantasy teams outside of that.

Zach Randolph's contract extension talks with the Grizzlies have stalled and he may opt to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Memphis is reportedly unwilling to give their 32-year-old forward more than a three-year deal, and Randolph seems ready to decline his $16.5 million player option to lock up a longer and more lucrative contract. Z-Bo has been clear about his desire to return with the Grizzlies, but this significant financial impasse may be enough to send him elsewhere for the 2014-15 season.

If Zach Randolph decides to opt out of his current contract, Memphis is hopeful they will be able to sign him to a long-term deal.

"It's going forward," GM Chris Wallace said. "We're very excited about what Zach's done in the past and hope to have him here in the future. This has really been a terrific boon for both sides. He's obviously meant a great deal to us on and off the court. And Memphis has worked for him. This has been, by far, the best stop for him since he's been in the NBA. So we're working towards that goal." Randolph has stated on multiple occasions that he hopes to retire wearing a Grizzlies uniform, so the feeling is mutual.

Despite the recent turmoil within the Grizzlies front office, Zach Randolph wishes to remain with the franchise.

Randolph has reportedly already begun preliminary discussions on a long-term extension, and he has expressed a strong desire to finish his career in Memphis. Randolph talked directly with Pera in the past week, and both him and his agent sensed a serious commitment from Pera to keep Randolph with the franchise with a new deal. Randolph has until June 30 to decide whether he will pick up his $16.5 million player option for the 2014-15 season.

Zach Randolph said that he wants to retire with the Grizzlies, but he hasn't yet decided whether to pick up his $16.5 million option for the 2014-15 season.

Z-Bo could opt out to sign a longer-term deal in Memphis or elsewhere, but he sounds content with the Grizzlies and both Mike Conley and Marc Gasol are taking it for granted that he'll return. Although Randolph's season ended on a disastrous note with his suspension for Game 7 vs. the Thunder, he had another productive season with averages of 17.4 points and 10.1 rebounds in his 13th NBA season.

Zach Randolph has been suspended one game by the NBA for punching Steven Adams in Game 6.

Wow. The incident came in the fourth quarter during the blowout and this is a huge blow to the Grizzlies for their Game 7 matchup in Oklahoma City on Saturday. Randolph has been fairly consistent in his six games this postseason, averaging 18.2 points, 8.7 boards, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks on 40.4 percent from the field. With Z-Bo out, the Grizzlies will likely go smaller with James Johnson likely to get some extra run off the bench while Mike Miller will have to come up big. Ed Davis will likely get the start. Additionally, Mike Conley (hamstring) not at 100 percent puts Memphis in a tough spot. The video of the punch is attached in the link below.

Zach Randon scored 20 points with 10 boards during Game 5's 100-99 overtime win vs. the Thunder on Tuesday.

He played 42 minutes tonight and played well on offense while teammate Marc Gasol shot just 4-of-14 for 11 points. Both players did put up a double-double and they also kept the Thunder to just 32 points in the paint tonight. The Grizzlies will have a chance to close out this series at FedEx Forum on Thursday night.

Zach Randolph had 21 points, 11 rebounds and a block in Saturday's Game 1 loss, but hit just 7-of-21 shots on the night.

Z-Bo is definitely a key to the beating the Thunder, but he'll have to play very well if the Grizzlies are going to get any wins against the Thunder. He was solid tonight, but wasn't enough.

Zach Randolph scored 32 points on 15-of-25 shooting with nine rebounds and one steal in Monday's playoff-clinching win over the Suns.

Randolph forced the Grizzlies into the playoffs by both gritting and grinding in a back-and-forth thriller. Marc Gasol added 18 points with eight boards and three assists, and Mike Conley hit a huge three to finish with 14 points, three rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a three in the win. The Grizzlies now face the Mavs on Wednesday to decide which team gets the No. 7 seed.

Zach Randolph made just 1-of-8 from the field against the Wolves on Wednesday for four points with five boards, three assists and one block in 27 minutes during a 102-88 loss.

It's just the third time he's had one or less field goals in a game this season and his four points were his second-lowest total in a game all season. Randolph was in a groove back in March and put up an 18-10 line on 51.3 percent from the field, so he'll bounce back on Friday vs. the Nuggets.
