2 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph scored two points on 1-of-8 shooting to go with seven boards, one block and one turnover in 28 minutes during Game 1's loss to the Spurs He looked more like Anthony Randolph than Zach Randolph. Z-Bo couldn't buy a bucket today and he took five attempts from inside the paint. Z-Bo did get a few second chances with three offensive boards, but not even his putbacks could fall. He'll look to turn it around in Game 2 on Tuesday. | 6 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph bounced back after a couple poor outings for 28 points, 14 rebounds and two steals on 8-of-17 shooting, and also hit 12-of-16 free throws as the Grizzlies beat the Thunder 84-80 in OKC to win Game 5 and take the series 4-1, advancing to the Western Conference Finals. This is the Grizzlies' first trip to the WCF and they'll face the winner of the Spurs-Warriors series. Randolph missed a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left and a two-point lead, but Kevin Durant wasn't even close with the wide-open jumper he created for himself. Mike Conley had 13 points and 11 dimes, Marc Gasol hit some big shots late to finish with 10 points and seven rebounds, and Tony Allen added 11 points and stellar defense in the win. | 16 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph double-doubled with 18 points and 10 boards in Sunday's 93-91 loss to the Thunder in 37 minutes. The game was played at Memphis' pace for the most part, but they were outscored in the paint 36-32 and had just three fast break points. The Thunder ranked just 29th in the NBA for points in the paint while Memphis allowed the least amount of points in the paint in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies match up nicely against the Westbrook-less Thunder, but they'll need to limit their mistakes on Tuesday. | 17 Days Memphis Grizzlies The NBA will not punish Zach Randolph and Blake Griffin for their altercation during Friday's Game 6, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles. Randolph and Griffin ended up wrestling on the ground during the game and there had been some thought Z-Bo would hear from the league before the second round. However, Shelburne said she's been told there's "nothing to worry about" from a league perspective. | 18 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph (ankle) scored 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting with five rebounds and four assists as the Grizzlies took down the Clippers by the score of 118-105 in Friday's clinching Game 6 win. Randolph might hear from the league for his altercation with Blake Griffin, though both players remained in the game and a suspension would be unlikely. Mike Conley (23 points, seven assists), Tony Allen (postseason-best 19 points, seven boards, six assists, four steals) and Tayshaun Prince (11 points, six boards, five assists, one steal, two blocks) were much too productive against a Clipper team with very few producers tonight. | 18 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph revealed that his ankle is "banged up" and it's "as big as a balloon" right now. "Talk to the trainers. I'm getting treatment every day. It's the playoffs," he said. Z-Bo was asked about Blake Griffin's ankle sprain and clearly wasn't sympathetic at all. "Last year when I played in the playoffs, I wasn't 100 percent, but I was out there, so I had to be 100 percent. It's the playoffs. It's a big-boy game." As if there hasn't been enough of the good stuff in this series, Friday night's Game 6 just got a whole lot more interesting with Randolph calling out Griffin. | 21 Days Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph hit 11-of-21 shots for 25 points, 11 rebounds and two steals as the Grizzlies took a 3-2 lead over the Clippers with Tuesday's 103-93 Game 5 win at L.A. Randolph enjoyed life without Blake Griffin, who was hobbled by a badly sprained right ankle before leaving early, while Marc Gasol came through with 21 points, eight boards and two blocks in the win. Mike Conley added 20 points and six dimes tonight, as the Grizzlies will look to eliminate the Clippers in Game 6 on Friday night in Memphis. | |
