Kyle Lowry PG TOR 29 Days

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Kyle Lowry has agreed to a four-year, $48 million contract to stay with the Toronto Raptors.

This is a huge deal for the Raptors and also could mean that Jeremy Lin could stay with the Rockets if they don't land Carmelo Anthony. Lowry had a nice bounce-back season last year and if he can stay healthy, qualifies as an elite NBA point guard. Lowry will have the option to opt out of the fourth and final year of the deal.

Kyle Lowry is mulling contract offers from the Rockets and Raptors, according to Yahoo! Sports, and he hasn't yet committed to meeting with other teams.

The Heat are telling free agents that they have $12 million available, which could make them a real option for Lowry, but Miami's star players haven't been recruiting K-Low and the Heat are also interested in Luol Deng. The Rockets' offer for Lowry may rely on a sign-and-trade which the Raptors wouldn't assent to since they want to keep him, so at the moment Toronto seems to be in the pole position.

The Rockets are reportedly interested in a sign-and-trade deal for Kyle Lowry, but the Raptors aren't interested since they hope to re-sign him.

Lowry is an unrestricted FA who is also one of Miami's top targets in free agency, but the Raptors can offer him the most money and they're confident that he'll stay in Toronto. Lou Williams is capable of backing up both the PG and SG positions, and if Lowry does re-sign the Raptors may be less inclined to match offers for restricted FA Greivis Vasquez.

The Raptors are set to meet with free agent point guard Kyle Lowry on Tuesday in Philadelphia, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

The Rockets, and likely several other teams, will also be meeting with Lowry, who is one of the hottest guards on the market this free agent season. The Raptors may have the inside track since he played there last season, but because the Raps can offer the most money, a return to Toronto would not be the least bit surprising.

Houston general manager Daryl Morey flew to Philadelphia to meet with free agent point guard Kyle Lowry.

Lowry returning to Houston is intriguing and it speaks to the aggressive nature of the Rockets front office, but the Raptors can offer more money and it's going to be hard for him to turn it down.

The Raptors have "undeniable confidence" in keeping free agent Kyle Lowry according ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

It sounds like talks have started in the $12 million range per year according to Stein. Expect this story to move quickly as he's the best point guard that's available as a free agent. His value would remain constant staying in Toronto and Greivis Vasquez would remain a low-end option in deeper leagues.

Ric Bucher reported Friday that a sign-and-trade sending free agent Kyle Lowry to the Heat is "imminent."

Bucher's record is somewhere between bad and terrible and he has been known to chase a bad bet all the way to the end. That said, Howard Beck seems to be behind the report and that gives it some instant credibility. We'll let you know as soon as there is independent confirmation of Bucher's report.

In addition to the Toronto Raptors, unrestricted free agent Kyle Lowry is drawing interest from the Rockets, Lakers, and Heat.

Coming off a season in which he averaged 17.9 points, 2.4 three-pointers, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.4 assists, it seems as if Lowry's value is being brought into the "elite" free agency category. The Raptors have pledged to go full-force after Lowry this season, but he could be getting priced out of what they'd like to pay and he could end up being a solid backup option to teams that aren't able to land LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony in free agency.

Raptors GM Masai Ujiri stated that the team will be going "full force after Kyle Lowry" this offseason.

Kyle Lowry will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, and after a solid season with the Raptors averaging 17.9 points, 2.4 three-pointers, 4.7 rebounds, and 7.4 assists, he'll be a popular name to come up in the rumor mill. The Knicks and Heat have been linked to having interest, but it's worth noting that Lowry has stated he "loves" his situation in Toronto, and the Raptors will make resigning him a number one priority.

Free agent Kyle Lowry and the Heat have "mutual interest," according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Lowry is coming off a terrific season with the Raptors in which he averaged career-highs in points (17.9), 3-pointers (2.4), rebounds (4.7) and assists (7.4), while adding 1.5 steals and a stingy 2.5 turnovers in 36 minutes per game. He told beat writer Michael Grange in early May, "I love this situation [in Toronto]. It's as simple as that." Any daliance with the Heat is complicated by Miami's salary-cap crunch -- in order to pay Lowry the $10+ million he'll earn annually as a free agent, at least one of Miami's Big 3 would have to opt out and restructure their contract this summer.
