J. J. Barea G MIN 5 Months

J.J. Barea (back) will sit out of Wednesday's season finale due to back spasms.

He was a late scratch and his back has caused him some problems this month. With Barea out, Alexey Shved could get more run, but he's been horrible this year and is not a fantasy option. Shabazz Muhammad could also get some more looks.

J.J. Barea (back) will play against the Rockets on Friday.

He missed Wednesday due to a back injury and the team will need all the bodies they can get. Their second unit is really thin, so Barea could have a chance to score. Of course, he's been extremely inconsistent all year and is not a fantasy option.

J.J. Barea (back) is questionable for Friday's game against the Rockets.

If Barea can suit up, he'd have a decent shot at 20+ minutes. Kevin Martin, Chase Budinger and Shabazz Muhammad are all sidelined.

J.J. Barea is expected to play through a sore foot on Wednesday.

He missed Monday's game and was a game-time decision tonight, but it sounds like he'll give it a go. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean he should be in your fantasy lineup, as inconsistency is his middle name.

J.J. Barea (foot) will not play against the Grizzlies on Monday night.

He suffered the injury over the weekend in Sunday's tough loss to the Suns. Barea doesn't see many minutes and fantasy owners can cut him loose almost everywhere considering how he gets hurt so frequently. Alexey Shved will handled the backup point guard work.

J.J. Barea played through a sore foot on Sunday, finishing a tough home loss to the Suns with two points and four assists in 17 minutes.

Barea didn't look 100 percent healthy, giving fantasy owners one more reason to avoid him. He hasn't provided lasting fantasy value off Minnesota's bench this season, and his effective field goal rate of 45.8 percent is the lowest since his rookie season in 2006-07.

J.J. Barea will play on Sunday despite a sore foot which he injured on Wednesday.

Barea may have hurt himself while attempting a rare tip-dunk off a miss by Ricky Rubio on Wednesday, but he still played 15 minutes off the bench the very next day. His typical reserve role isn't substantial enough for value in most fantasy leagues, where he can be safely left on the waiver wire.
