Jack scored 13 points (6-16 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with six assists, two rebounds and a block in 39 minutes during Monday's loss to the Rockets.
He continues to provide decent numbers while Deron Williams (ribs) is on the shelf, and Jack is now averaging 13.4 points, 7.6 assists and 3.2 boards over his last five games.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 16 Days
Jack (rest) put up 14 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, and two blocks in 37 minutes of action against the Sixers on Friday.
Jack sat out Thursday's practice to rest but managed to take on a full workload Friday. He responded well to the time off with a solid box score, so the Nets may be more inclined to give Jack some time to rest in the future.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 17 Days
Jack was held out of Thursday's practice to rest, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN reports.
Coach Lionel Hollins remarked that he'd like to cut down on Jack's workload, and he'll start by giving him a day off Thursday after the veteran played 39 minutes Wednesday night. With Deron Williams (hip) probably out at least a few more games, Jack should continue to see starter's minutes, though Hollins will likely try to keep him in the low-to-mid 30s.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 18 Days
Jack scored 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt) with four rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Celtics.
Deron Williams (hip) lasted just four minutes in his return to action before he had to head back to the locker room, so Jack's spot in the starting lineup is likely safe in the short term.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 20 Days
Jack scored 20 points (6-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT) to go along with four rebounds and 10 assists in 44 minutes Monday against the Mavericks.
Jack played big minutes with Deron Williams (hip) out due to injury. He's held onto the starting job, but Jack would definitely have increased fantasy value should Williams miss any more time.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 21 Days
Jack scored 4 points (2-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), to go along with three assists, two rebounds, two steals, and three blocks in 25 minutes.
He may not have done much scoring the ball, but he put up solid defensive stats randomly. Jack is in an interesting situation, as Deron Williams has had his name thrown around in trade conversations. While Williams was out he showed what he was capable of, if given bigger minutes. But for the moment being he's splitting time with Williams, but remains a hold for his starting role and promise for a lot more.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 27 Days
Jack scored 16 points (4-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-8FT) to go along with three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes Monday against the Kings.
Jack started over Deron Willliams again and the Nets won another game. Williams may eventually take the starting point guard job back, but Jack has at least earned himself a significant role with the team for the time being.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 29 Days
Jack started in place of Deron Williams again, scoring 22 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 39 minutes Saturday.
With Williams still not back to full health, Jack is going to continue to get heavy and run and put up useful fantasy lines. The issue for owners is that this production will be reduced once Williams resumes his position in the starting five. Until that happens, ride out Jack's stellar performances.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 30 Days
Jack started Friday's game against the Celtics while Deron Williams (calf) came off the bench, scoring 27 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 10-10 FT) and filling the box score elsewhere, grabbing seven rebounds and picking up five assists, a block and three steals.
Jack has put up some solid numbers while filling in for Williams, posting a double-double Sunday and scoring 17 on Tuesday. However, Williams will presumably return to the starting lineup if he's healthy.
Jarrett Jack G BKN 1 Month
Jack will start Sunday's game against Detroit, Mike Mazzeo of ESPN reports.
With Deron Williams sidelined due to a calf strain, Jack will enter the starting lineup and figures to match up with Detroit's Brandon Jennings. Jack is averaging 24.4 minutes per game this month, but he'll likely see 30-plus Sunday, as was the case Friday when he played 33 off the bench after Williams departed early in the game.
